Tiffany Rousso Classy Threeway

One of the quintessential '80s teen pop stars, Tiffany transformed her massive early success into an enduring career as a working musician and pop culture fixture decades later. She helped shape the sound of late-'80s pop music with the hit singles "I Think We're Alone Now" and "Could've Been" and her quadruple-platinum self-titled 1987 full-length, which made her the youngest female artist to top the Billboard chart with a debut album. Tiffany's success was also influential: not only did she give mega-popular boy band New Kids on the Block a boost at the beginning of their career, but the shopping-mall performances that kick-started her rise became a promotional strategy later used by Britney Spears and Taylor Swift.

Legendary pop star and 80’s icon, Tiffany, is best known for the #1 Billboard hit, “I Think We’re Alone Now”, which recently garnered a whopping 100 million streams on Spotify. At the start of her career, Tiffany earned two U.S. #1 hit singles with the aforementioned “I Think We’re Alone Now”, as well as the ballad, “Could’ve Been,” and also set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album ”Tiffany”.

When selecting the works for their recording at ARS PRODUKTION, Tiffany Butt and Maria Cecilia Munoz looked at different eras to understand the impact that oppression and lack of freedom had on the creative process. They were not so much interested in what people were unable to do due to restrictive situations and adverse circumstances, but above all in what they achieved despite these circumstances. During their research, they came across impressive artistic personalities who have left behind music of great value.
