Ike & Tina Turner were an American musical duo consisting of husband and wife Ike Turner and Tina Turner. From 1960 to 1976, they performed live as the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, supported by Ike Turner's band the Kings of Rhythm and backing vocalists called the Ikettes. Guitarist and bandleader Ike kept his ensemble tight and well-drilled while throwing in his own distinctively twangy plucking; lead vocalist Tina was a ferocious whirlwind of power and energy, a raw sexual dynamo who was impossible to contain when she hit the stage, leading some critics to call her the first female singer to embody the true spirit of rock & roll. In their prime, the Ike & Tina Turner Revue specialized in a hard-driving, funked-up hybrid of soul and rock that, in its best moments, rose to a visceral frenzy that few R&B acts of any era could hope to match.

When Tina Turner passed away in May 2023, she left behind the legacy of a huge life's work. This new anthology looks back at her legendary solo career, which began almost 50 years ago. "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll" is a compilation of 55 tracks that takes us through her unique solo career via her singles. Starting with her cover version of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" from 1975 and ending with the Kygo remix of "What's Love Got to Do With It" from 2020, this is the first time her entire collection of singles has been released in one set.

Warner Records released a new Tina Turner compilation called Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. This sees her complete singles collection issued on one 3CD set for the first time, starting with ‘Whole Lotta Love’ from 1975 and going all the way up to the Kygo remix of ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ in 2020. This set also includes a brand-new version of ‘Something Beautiful Remains’, reworked by producer and long-time collaborator of Tina, Terry Britten. It is retitled and becomes ‘Something Beautiful’.

'Break Every Rule' was Tina's follow-up album to the hugely successful comeback album 'Private Dancer' (1984). The first single 'Typical Male' was a big chart success. 'Back Where You Started' earned Tina another Grammy for best rock vocal performance, female in 1987. The album included several star-studded guest performances and songwriting from David Bowie, Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Steve Winwood and many more. It also saw the return of Terry Britten and Graham Lyle's songwriting partnership, penning the first five tracks of the album. The expanded 2CD edition contains the contents of the first 2CDs from the 3CD/2DVD deluxe edition. The first CD features the original album fully remastered for the first time, with the second CD containing a collection of B-sides, remixes and live performances.
