Legendary American singer and pianist Leon Russell has entertained the world for five decades, getting his start as an in-demand Wrecking Crew session player and playing on hundreds of hit records before he began releasing his own albums in 1967. His latest studio album, titled "Life Journey", features newly-written, original songs and Russell's turns on classics that resonate with the two-time GRAMMY winner as important to his musical trajectory. The album is produced by Tommy LiPuma and executive produced by Elton John, with whom Russell most recently collaborated for 2010's critically acclaimed album, The Union.

The documentary May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers, released in 2017 and directed by Judd Apatow, is an intensely human portrait of siblings who are frustratingly flawed and incredibly talented, and their remarkable band, including bassist Bob Crawford, cellist Joe Kwon and fiddler Tania Elizabeth. You quickly understand why producer Rick Rubin—working with them for a sixth time on The Avett Brothers—is captivated not just by the Avetts' magical tones (Scott's soft North Carolina affect and Seth's slightly sharper twang), but also Everlys-esque harmonies and melodies that seem to come as naturally as breathing. There's also a disarming sincerity.

On the Corner is a studio album by jazz musician Miles Davis, recorded in June and July 1972 and released in 1974 on Columbia Records. Drawing on funk and rock music, the work of experimental composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, and electronic recording techniques, it was in part an attempt by Davis to reach a younger African American audience. Instead, it became one of his worst-selling recordings and was scorned by establishment jazz critics at the time of its release. It was also his last studio album of the 1970s; for the remainder of the decade he recorded haphazardly and focused instead on live performance before temporarily retiring from music in 1975.

"Freaky Styley" is the band’s straight-funk sophomore effort. Produced by George Clinton (of Parliament-Funkadelic), the album produced the hit singles: “Jungle Man”, “Catholic School Girls Rule” and “Hollywood (Africa)”. This critically-acclaimed album marked the return of guitarist Hillel Slovak. It is one of the band’s finest efforts.

On the Corner is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer Miles Davis.
