L' Orchestra Del Titanic is the first solo album by 25-year-old Florentine pianist Stefano Bollani, "Best New Talent 1999" according to Musica Jazz, Italy's leading jazz's magazine. For years, Bollani, who has lately added his identifiable touch to many Italian jazz records, has expressed in interviews his search for a unique project to fit to his own musical taste to. As a young guy with a witty sense of black humor, the overwhelming recent popularity of the romance and tragedy of the film, Titanic was a perfect place to start.

Sarah Brightman's 1999 release Eden applies her rich, supple voice to 16 tracks that range from classical to pop to haunting ballads. Recording Date 1973 - 1992. This box set is a deluxe masterpiece in its creation. It starts off as a box that has a box within it that slides out the open side and inside the middle box there are the 3 cds and a booklet. The discs are a complete overview of Brian Enos' vocal music. The first disc contains the first 2 solo albums he made. It is refreshing to have them both together vurtually untouched(i say vurtually because I dont even know what they omitted to fit them on together). The second disc contains the bulk of Another Green World and Before and After Science. Both Classics in my book. The last disc is the treasure for most people probably have the first 4 albums. The first discs only throw hints of having rare tracks with only a couple per cd. The 3rd disc which has not only Enos projects for outside artists represented but it also contains the unfinshed album of pop songs called My Squelchy Life. As far as i can tell he hasnt made anything like those early vocal albums since he worked on this album back in 91. Consequently the disc is very valuable and with the deluxe packaging of the box it makes a terrific box set.
Finally there it is: Alphaville’s 8-CD-Box, which you have been waiting for since September 1998. 9 ½ hours of wonderful music, that consists of demo-versions, B-Sides, remixes of already released and live-taped songs – definitely a must for every fan! It wouldn’t be right to call "Dreamscapes" commercial, but that probably wasn’t the idea, which hides behind. "Dreamscapes" is a limited edition of 2000 boxes, which aren’t available in any music stores. Alphaville themselves call "Dreamscapes" their own anthology, a mirror of their musical creation during the last 20 years – a present for their fans.
The score to the 1999 telefilm Alice in Wonderland was composed by Richard Hartley and features the original songs performed by the all-star cast, which includes Whoopi Goldberg, Martin Short, George Wendt, Gene Wilder, Peter Ustinov, Ben Kingsley and Christopher Lloyd. A nice souvenir for fans of this production.
Another collection of favourites from an earlier generation—indeed from three earlier generations. Again the titles may not be familiar but in most cases the melodies will be. In Party Mood, for instance, may furrow a few brows until it starts to play, when it's safe to say that everybody in Britain over a certain age will immediately recognise it as the signature tune of the BBC's long-running 'Housewives Choice'. Alpine Pastures (1955) will be scarcely less familiar through its use as signature tune of another long-running radio series, 'My Word'.
