Shalosh (translated: three) is considered among connoisseurs as one of the most interesting young bands in the jazz scene. With over a hundred concerts worldwide, the trio has been causing a sensation at international level since 2014 with its acoustic, progressive raw jazz. Despite the classical jazz trio lineup (piano, bass, drums) and the deep roots of the musicians in jazz, Shalosh also treads paths between rock, classical, electro, African and Middle Eastern influences. The music is equally beguiling as it is moving, intense and soulful.

The love for Brazilian music runs like a red thread through Wolfgang Lackerschmid's musical career. Whether in his time in the USA or on tours through Europe, great names of Brazil and Latin jazz such as Romero Lubambo, Claudio Roditi and Paquito D'Rivera often come across band projects of the vibraphone player and play alongside traditional literature also that of Brazilian Rhythmic and form influenced compositions Lackerschmids. That's how they came to work with the Brazilian Trio, a congenial alliance with pianist Hélio Alves, drummer Duduka da Fonseca and bassist Nilson Matta.

Album gibt es tatsächlich 'Olivia Trummer pur' zu hören: Im Rahmen der 'Studio Konzert'-Reihe gab sie in den Ludwigsburger Bauer Studios im November 2017 ein Solokonzert an Flügel, Gesang und Fender Rhodes, das live mitgeschnitten wurde. Ein mutiger Schritt, denn bei einem Live-Soloalbum gibt es wirklich kein Netz und keinen doppelten Boden. Aber den braucht sie auch nicht: In diesem Konzert läuft Olivia Trummer zu musikalischer Hochform auf. Sie spielt und singt inspiriert und ausdrucksstark keinen Ton zu viel oder zu wenig. Ihr erstes Solo-Album wirkt locker und selbstbewusst zugleich und lässt hoffen, dass viele weitere Solo-Alben folgen werden.

Tobias Hellkvist is a Swedish composer and sound artist, working mainly in the field of ambient, drone and electroacoustic music. The compositions that constitute "Forest Psalms" originates from a collection of field recordings made during two trips to the United States in 2015 and 2016.

Ob in seiner Zeit in den USA oder bei Tourneen durch Europa, immer wieder finden sich Größen des Brazil- und Latin-Jazz wie Romero Lubambo, Claudio Roditi oder Paquito D’Rivera zu Bandprojekten des Vibraphonisten ein und spielen neben traditioneller Literatur auch die von brasilianischer Rhythmik und Form beeinflussten Kompositionen Lackerschmids. So entstand die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Brazilian Trio, eine kongeniale Allianz mit dem Pianisten Hélio Alves, dem Schlagzeuger Duduka da Fonseca und dem Bassisten Nilson Matta.
