Es ist kalt in Harlem, New York als Stefan Dettl im Winter mit seinem Trompetenkoffer vor dem verschlossenem Apollo Theater steht. Dort wo Soul-Größen wie James Brown oder Aretha Franklin legendäre Konzerte gaben und die Fans in Extase versetzten, blickt der Chiemgauer auf die großen körnigen Fotoaufnahmen in der Eingangshalle, die immer noch den warmen Glanz jener MoTown-Zeit versprüht. Von München nach New York in einer Nacht: „Einmal in einem kleinen Soul Club in New York zu spielen ohne rauszufliegen" so war die Zielsetzung für das Soultrain- Album, welches Stefan Dettl samt brillianter Bigband ein paar Monate später beim Release Konzert in der ausverkauften Muffathalle in München am 19.03. präsentierte. Der Abend wurde detailverliebt auf einem analogen Tonbandgerät aufgezeichnet und wird am 26.08. digital veröffentlicht.

There seem to be few subjects that do not interest my friend Tobias Lindstad. He is well-versed in literature, art, and philosophy, he throws himself into debates with an open mind and has kept his fascination for the mysteries of the universe. Above all, he displays a nearly all-encompassing appetite for good music in the most diverse genres. He never stops finding inspiration in classical and modern chamber music, in cool jazz and free-form improvisation, in avantgarde rock, in folk music, and in subtle pop melodies; really, he finds inspiration in all kinds of beautiful, strange, challenging and/or alluring music.

The first question that comes to mind when listening to the new album by pianist Markus Becker is: “Can you do that?” Becker has taken Beethoven’s music on board, and not to perform it as close to the original as possible.

The creation of music shares much in common with creation in the visual arts. Both musicians and visual artists speak of and deal in colors, hues and textures in their compositional processes.

The young top musicians Pieter van Loenen and Tobias Borsboom, winners of the prestigious Dutch Classical Talent Award 2019 and 2015 debut release "The Silence Between".

Marie Stockmarr Becker and Ilaria Macedonio offer a fresh and different - yet historically informed - perspective on the three sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord by J.S. Bach.

The well-known German hammer piano specialist Tobias Koch has long been intensively engaged with the three great Sonatas from Schubert's year of death in 1828, which he regards in many respects as "music for the future". Now, the artist has decided to document his idiosyncratic and sophisticated Interpretation of these sonatas, which he sees as a cycle that belongs together, on CD.
