Mike Melvoin (May 10, 1937 – February 22, 2012) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger. He served as chairman and president of The Recording Academy and worked as a prolific studio musician, recording with Frank Sinatra, John Lennon, The Jackson 5, Natalie Cole, and The Beach Boys. Melvoin was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo for "All or Nothing at All" from his album It's Always You.

With attractive cover artwork delivered by the great Rainer Kalwitz comes this 5th studio album by the pair of Michael Voss & Mark Sweeney, who wrote and produced 11 new songs, performed by a total of no less than 32 guest musicians. What we get on Wolfpakk albums can be described as 'rock meets metal' (call it melodic metal, if you want) of a great diversity, depending on who sings. Working this way is OK, but you never get the feeling of listening to a real band, if you know what I mean.

Grete Skarpeid has always had a close association with music. She spent her childhood days in Stavanger, Norway constantly singing, playing the piano or listening to records. Joining a choir led her further on to singing solo. Musically she has been inspired by Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Maria Joan and many others, as well as the great classical composers whose music she has enjoyed extensively over the years.
