This special edition of the 1976 album will contain new Steven Wilson stereo remixes on CD 1, although this is of the version of the album re-recorded for a TV Special. Only five multi-track master tapes for the actual album could be located and new stereo remixes of those tracks are also appended on the first disc. The second CD consists of a complete flat transfer of the original stereo mix, and eight bonus tracks (seven of which are 2015 remixes). This bonus material includes two unheard songs: Salamander’s Ragtime (not related to album track Salamander), and Commercial Traveller. A third outtake Advertising Man was planned to be included but was not sufficiently complete to merit inclusion.

After drumming for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lydia Lunch, and Captain Beefheart in the ’80s, Cliff Martinez went on to become a successful Hollywood composer. His partnership with director Nicolas Winding Refn has resulted in some incredible work in soundtracking for movies such Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon — last Halloween we recognized his score for the latter as one of our favorite horror movie soundtracks. The pair are teaming up for again for a project, this time for a new Amazon series called Too Young To Die Old starring Miles Teller, William Baldwin, John Hawkes, and Jena Malone. Teller stars as Martin, “a grieving police officer, who finds himself caught in the Los Angeles criminal underworld where various forces push towards sinister goals.”

This double-CD contains three programs Ayers broadcast on the BBC from 1972 to 1976. A January 6, 1972 concert at the Paris Theatre in London takes up all of disc one, which is certainly the better half of this package, as it was almost a reunion of the Kevin Ayers & the Whole World lineup that had done Shooting at the Moon in 1970. Whole World-ers Mike Oldfield (guitar), Lol Coxhill (sax), and David Bedford (keyboards) are on hand to support Ayers, along with drummer Dave Dufort (who was not on Shooting at the Moon). Some singing accompanies the band, and orchestral arrangements also accent their playing on six of the nine songs.

Baritone Brian Mulligan's second solo recording features beloved songs of the early twentieth century. Mr. Mulligan writes: "I love the songs on this album. You don't hear them much anymore; they're usually considered to be 'old fashioned'. Most of these songs became incredibly popular through renditions by some of the greatest American baritones of all time, including Leonard Warren, John Charles Thomas and Nelson Eddy." Baritone Brian Mulligan is equally renowned as an interpreter of classic works by Verdi, Wagner and Strauss as well as of the most challenging twentieth and twenty-first century operas. His striking stage portrayals have taken him to leading opera houses throughout Europe and North America. He makes regular appearances with the leading US orchestras and in recital. His first recording, for Naxos, was Dominick Argento’s “The Andrée Expedition” and “From the Diary of Virginia Woolf”.

Pianist/vocalist Ben Paterson continues the tradition of bouncy, infectious swing established by the drummerless trios of Nat 'King' Cole and Oscar Peterson, drawing upon his musical experiences in both Chicago and New York to deliver a soulful and engaging recording. Joined by longtime Benny Goodman guitarist Chris Flory and powerhouse bassist George Delancey, Ben's trio mixes sophisticated improvisation with heavy doses of the blues, ranging from well known Jazz standards to more recent popular songs.

The New Rochelles are a Ramones-core pop-punk band from New York and there isn't much else to it. Not special and not original in any sense. Their homepage says: "too dumb to care". This compilation from Kid Tested Records combines all band's releases from 2010 to 2015. You are gonna get three or four chords strung together, '60s girl group-inspired melodies, and topics that range from the the juvenile to the ridiculous. Still, even though you are expecting it, it is done pretty well.

Lucky 13 is a compilation of the first two "Too Slim and the Taildragger" recordings , "Swingin' in the Underworld" 1988 and "Rock em Dead" 1990. This album is a great representative of the bands formative years. The band was a hard drivin' blues rock band doing the club circuit in those days. All the original tunes are penned by founding member and guitarist Tim "Too Slim" Langford. There is a great selection of covers by the band including a "raucous" rendition of Link Wray's "Rumble. Classic Good Ol' Blues Rock'n Roll. Fits like an old pair of your favorite jeans. Shuffle, dance or kick back and enjoy the groove. This is a "must have" CD for Too Slim fans!
