After just three albums in three years, Girls Aloud had enough smash hits for a greatest-hits collection, The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits, which compiles a dozen Top Ten singles and adds three new songs. Since rising to fame on the television show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, the all-girl quintet experienced remarkable success in tandem with the production team Xenomania. Not only did all of the group's singles reach the Top Ten of the U.K. charts, if not the Top Five; the girls were also well-received from a critical standpoint more often than not. The Sound of Girls Aloud includes the three singles from the group's first album, Sound of the Underground (2003), most notably the chart-topping title track, and the five singles from the second album, What Will the Neighbors Say? (2004), all of them Top Five hits. The third full-length effort by Girls Aloud, Chemistry (2005), was a bit less successful than the first two, failing to reach the Top Ten of the U.K. albums chart, yet it still managed to spawn the four hit singles compiled here. These 12 singles are sequenced non-chronologically. In addition, there are three new songs sequenced late in the album: "Something Kinda Ooooh," "Money," and a cover version of Tiffany's 1987 international chart-topping smash "I Think We're Alone Now." These Xenomania productions are welcome additions to the Girls Aloud catalog, especially the standout lead single "Something Kinda Ooooh."

Featuring 31 remastered tracks, including several remixes and newly unearthed live recordings, this compilation represents a wide cross-section of Sting’s enduring solo career. Highlights include the hits "Fields of Gold", "Englishman in New York", "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" and "All This Time", as well as Grammy winners "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" and "Whenever I Say Your Name" featuring Mary J. Blige. The CDs also include a new mix of "Never Coming Home" as well as previously unreleased live versions of "Message In A Bottle", "Demolition Man" and "Heavy Cloud No Rain".

The Let It Be album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. All the new Let It Be releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. The Special Edition Deluxe 2CD also includes a disc of outtake highlights and a 40-page booklet.

Cardiacs first full-length album gets four disc reissue. Influential British art rock band Cardiacs are to have their debut studio album A Little Man And A House And The Whole World Window, catalogue number ALPHLP007, reissued through The Alphabet Concern label on September 6, 35-years after it’s original release. The new reissue features in a casebound book set has four bonus discs featuring a remastered show from London's Town and Country Club in 1987, all of the BBC radio sessions, the complete studio sessions and a previously unreleased version of Gina Lollabrigida where Tim Smith can be heard counting the players in from the top.

The 1994 sequel to her mainstream country breakthrough on Come on Come On further underscores Mary Chapin Carpenter's true identity, more Ivy League folk rocker than new country cowgirl. Her coolly delivered, deeply felt songs include meditations on family, community, and social injustice without rant or cant, never more so than on the gently incisive midlife reflections of the title song, which filters historic milestones and childhood lessons through its delicate verses. Elsewhere, she sketches a heart-breaking, restrained speculation on the inner life of a blind, deaf mystery man ("John Doe No. 24") with the economy and detail of good short story. The set's many love songs are no less intelligent, emotionally authentic, or moving.
