Bjorn Lynne has gained much admiration among both the EM & symphonic/progrock crowds for the way he has mastered the unifying of these differing musical styles. While the music on this album seems to have been influenced by his work in these areas, it reveals a new variation on Bjorn's hybrid of styles by introducing some exciting funk, jazz & even soul stylings. This is immediately obvious once the opening tracks "Turbo Grid" & "Play Dirty" get into their stride. The scorching rhythms are full of good old-fashioned funk while the guitars of Bjorn & guest axe man Marc Pattison lay down some red hot licks & grinding rhythm patterns that should keep the rockers amongst you happy, there's even the unmistakeable sound of the Minimoog in there, too, what more could you possibly ask for?

It’s definitely possible to be born in the land of the fjords and make your mark on the blues. Bjorn Berge has done so for many years, both in his home country Norway and abroad. After a hiatus of 6 years he finally releases his new studio-album “Who Else?”. Winner of two Norwegian Grammy Awards, Bjorn started the recording though as early as 2014, with the intention of releasing the album the same year. It started out like an acoustic record and it all was going according to plan. But during this time, he got asked to join the very popular Norwegian band Vamp who was going on tour, and Bjorn decided to put his solo album on hold and wait until Vamp had a break. That took a while.

For several years now, the guitarist and lutenist Björn Colell and the Baroque violinist Georg Kallweit, Konzertmeister of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, have formed a noted duo called Ombra e Luce: ‘With only two musicians and two instruments, we aspire to a perfect rapport and a permanent dialogue. We have access to a rich repertory of original pieces from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries for violin and lute/theorbo: this was a widespread combination, essentially before 1700.

New studio album from Airbag co-founder, songwriter and lead guitarist, Bjørn Riis titled “A Storm Is Coming”, following up last year’s acclaimed mini album “Coming Home”. Six epic songs clocking in at 51 minutes, built around the central themes of human relations and loss, written as a dialogue between two persons. A Storm Is Coming is both heavier and more tender than the previous releases, and Bjørn Riis manages to majestically combine the art of rock, prog and atmospheric pop – resulting in his best album to date.

The Tolkien-inspired "Dreamsongs from Middle Earth" is the second product of the creative collaboration between the well-known Swedish musicians and composers Pär Lindh and Björn Johansson, both of whom are multi-instrumentalists. Their first joint musical experience took place in 1996 and was marked with the release of the (still, Tolkien-inspired) album "Bilbo". "Dreamsongs from Middle Earth" is an amazingly coherent recording, which, above all, is due to the fact that all the contents conform to a unified, nearly monolithic, compositional and stylistic conception. (Well, there are only wordless, separate and chorus, female vocals, so the album can be considered only a semi-concept work). There are no pauses between the tracks here, and each of the following ones provides the logical development of the music on its predecessor…
