Although Cream were only together for a little more than two years, their influence was immense, both during their late-'60s peak and in the years following their breakup. Cream were the first top group to truly exploit the power trio format, in the process laying the foundation for much blues-rock and hard rock of the 1960s and 1970s. It was with Cream, too, that guitarist Eric Clapton truly became an international superstar. Critical revisionists have tagged the band as overrated, citing the musicians' emphasis upon flash, virtuosity, and showmanship at the expense of taste and focus.

TRIPLE CD SET FEATURING THE BEST OF LED ZEPPELIN S 1969 LIVE RECORDINGS The four musicians who would become forever known as Led Zeppelin, played together for the first time in a room below a record store on Gerrard Street in London, in August 1968. However, at this juncture, they were calling themselves The New Yardbirds, a name under which they toured Scandinavia together in September 68. Later that month, they began recording their first album, which was based on their live set. The album was recorded and mixed in nine days, and Jimmy Page covered the costs. After the record's completion, the band were forced to change their name after Chris Dreja of the old-Yardbirds, issued a cease and desist letter, stating that Page was allowed to use the New Yardbirds moniker for the Scandinavian dates only. The source of their new name is a tale told many times, but in their first year Led Zeppelin released their self-titled debut, completed four US and four UK concert tours, and also released their second album, Led Zeppelin II. It was between the release of their first and second LPs that the recordings that make up this 3CD Set were recorded. Kicking off on DISC ONE, Zep s performance at the Texas International Pop Festival, just outside Dallas, on 31st August 69, is featured in its entirety.

TRIPLE-DISC SET OF LIVE PERFORMANCES BY RY COODER FROM ACROSS HIS CAREER Featuring 3 superb live recordings by Ry Cooder, all from the peak of the great man s career, this triple disc set will prove a delight for fans of the master musician the world over. Disc Two contains his gig from a couple of years later, recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California on 7th July 1974, which features a fine selection of cuts from Cooder s early 1970s Reprise albums, records which still sound as fresh today as they ever did; as indeed does this performance. Concluding this boxed set is a recording made at the Montreux jazz festival in 1990 by Ry with long-time collaborator David Lindley, when the pair storm through a fabulous set featuring long-time Cooder classics and a great selection of numbers from his extensive film soundtrack catalogue With all recordings in near perfect quality and fully remastered, this collection is destines to become a must-have addition for every decent Ry Cooder collection in existence.

A TRIPLE-DISC set of FM radio broadcast live recordings from the years 1972, 1973 and 1976, Jackson Browne's golden era. These sessions took place in New York, Worcester (Massachusetts) and Chicago respectively. As a bonus this release includes two cuts taken from Browne's appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' in 1976.

EXCELLENT TRIPLE DISC SET OF RARE LIVE JOHN PRINE RECORDINGS Widely cited as one of the most influential, yet criminally underrated, songwriters of his generation, John Prine was known for humorous lyrics about love, life, and current events, as well as for serious songs with social commentary and others that recollect melancholy tales from his life. In 2020, he received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

LEGENDARY RECORDINGS FROM FLEETWOOD MAC S EARLIEST DAYS Formed in London in 1967 by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, with bassist John McVie completing the line-up for their self-titled debut album, Fleetwood Mac began as a very different beast to the one they would become by the mid-1970s. Danny Kirwan joined as third guitarist in 1968 and keyboardist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married John McVie and joined in 1970. Primarily a British blues band initially, they scored a UK number one with Albatross , and had lesser hits with the singles Oh Well and Black Magic Woman , the latter successfully covered by Santana. All three guitarists left in succession during the early 1970s, changing the sound of the group quite dramatically. This triple disc set celebrates the early days of Fleetwood Mac, focussing as it does on the group s live recordings and radio sessions. Featuring, on disc one, their superb San Francisco gig at the Carousel Ballroom in 1968 in its entirety (previously only released in part), disc two contains Fleetwood Mac s complete BBC Radio Sessions from 1968 recorded for shows such as Top Gear and Saturday Club. The set is completed on disc there with their legendary concert performed in New Orleans at The Warehouse venue, in January 1970.

Crafting a distinctive southern sound through a creative blend of country, blues, and a British rock influence, the group became incredibly popular through the 1970s and it was only the tragic events of autumn 1977- that do not need repeating here - which stopped their onward march through the music biz.

THREE DISC SET FEATURING THE BEST LIVE PANTERA BROADCAST RECORDINGS AVAILABLE Formed in 1981 by the Abbott brothers - drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag Darrell - along with lead vocalist Terry Glaze, Pantera started life as a glam-metal band, releasing four albums independently during the 1980s. Looking for a new and heavier sound, Pantera replaced Glaze with Phil Anselmo in 1986 and released Power Metal in 88. In 1989, the band secured a record deal with major-label Atco. With their fifth album, 1990's Cowboys from Hell, Pantera introduced the groove metal genre, while its 1992 follow-up Vulgar Display of Power exhibited an even heavier sound.
