Though they began as a hard-driving funk outfit, Lionel Ritchie's Commodores soon became Premier League purveyors of super soulful ballads. Songs like 'Easy' and 'Three Times A Lady' were instant hits and remain classics. Those songs lead off this brand new collection which also includes lots of lesser known ballads and rare romantic gems. Together with the hits, they prove that the Commodores love catalogue is second to none.

Buddy Holly was one of the greatest, most inventive artists in the first wave of Rock 'n' Roll, which Collected certainly illustrates. The selection shows his wild-man Rockabilly ways as well as his sensitive songwriting. Collected stands as the most comprehensive and greatest retrospective of the legendary artist.

For this album, the band is officially credited as being Chrissie Hynde (vocals, guitar), Adam Seymour (guitar), Andy Hobson (bass) and Martin Chambers (drums). These musicians include Hobson and Chambers, as well as bassists Andy Rourke, Tom Kelly and David Paton, and drummers Jimmy Copley and J.F.T. Hood. A few other session musicians also appear, including Ian Stanley (formerly of Tears for Fears), and one-time Pretenders guitarist Robbie McIntosh, who plays alongside Hynde and Seymour on "I'm a Mother". Here is another CD from the same producer and musicians behind "Elvis: The New Recordings," which debuted in January 2015 on the 80th anniversary of Presley's birth, and quickly won worldwide praise from fans and music critics alike. Many people asked for another overdub CD and this is it: "ELVIS: THE NEW SESSIONS" (2016). Each of these fantastic songs will sound FRESH AND NEW to you - as if Elvis just recorded them today, and feature brilliant musical settings. These 20 tracks represent some of The King's best studio work, from a time frame when he was in good health and good voice (1957-1962). Some of the songs are classics, while others may be unfamiliar to you. The producer has been careful to preserve the intimacy, simplicity and authenticity of Elvis's vocal performances through expert remastering.

Between 1979 and 1982, The Universal Togetherness Band tracked unearthly portions of their sprawling songbook for bewildered students in Columbia College’s audio engineering program. Storming the gates of Chicago’s premier recording studios, the erudite party band explored permutations of soul, jazz-fusion, new wave, and disco with little regard for studio rates or the availability of magnetic tape. Universal Togetherness Band captures the brightest, never-before-heard moments from this visionary group’s 5-semester recording bender. The attractive gatefold LP edition boasts magnificent reproductions of never-before-seen images from the archives of Chicago photographer Steven E. Gross. The CD version features several candid snapshots from the group’s personal collections. Meticulously mixed from the original multi-track sessions by Sean Marquand (Phenomenal Handclap Band), Universal Togetherness Band is presented in peak fidelity.

Alois Maxwell "Al" Hirt (November 7, 1922 – April 27, 1999) was an American trumpeter and bandleader. He is best remembered for his million-selling recordings of "Java" and the accompanying album Honey in the Horn (1963), and for the theme song to The Green Hornet. His nicknames included "Jumbo" and "The Round Mound of Sound". Colin Escott, an author of musician biographies, wrote that RCA Victor Records, for which Hirt had recorded most of his best-selling recordings and for which he had spent much of his professional recording career, had dubbed him with another moniker: "The King." Hirt was inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in November 2009.
