Christmas carols between tradition and new arrangements
Singing, especially at Christmas time, is an age-old tradition that the Wuppertal Kurrende consciously and carefully cultivates. Among the many Christmas carols, the "Quempas" stands out as an important piece that has been sung in various regions of Germany for centuries.

Draco Rosa, also known as simply Draco, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter whose career spans several decades. Born Robert Edward Rosa Suárez on June 27, 1969, in Long Island, New York, he grew up in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. He began his performance career at a young age, joining the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo in 1984. Then known as Robby Rosa, he made his debut on the band's first English-language album, Reaching Out (1984). He was featured on one of the band's biggest hits, "Sabes a Chocolate," soon afterward before leaving the band in 1987.

Soprano Rosa Feola, Cappella Neapolitana and maestro Antonio Florio pay tribute to Niccolò Piccinni, master of the 18th-century Neapolitan opera tradition, with Son regina e sono amante. Deliberately avoiding his most famous work, La buona figliola, the album offers arias from his French and Italian operas, including some in Neapolitan vernacular. Given her origins, Feola is the ideal ambassador to bring the once world famous Piccinni back into the limelight.

Austrian guitarist Rosa Franziska Maier – laureate of numerous international competitions – releases an imaginative musical collage with GENUIN, comprising works spanning three centuries. Centered around William Walton’s "Five Bagatelles" are compositions by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Johann Sebastian Bach, Giulio Regondi, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Isaac Albéniz. In Maier’s richly colored and precisely articulated guitar sound, these works evoke a wide range of luminous moods, forming an imaginary museum bathed in the light of a Mediterranean summer evening.
