The World's Worst Records is a two volume album series released by Rhino Records in 1983 and 1985. Compiled by "The Rhino Brothers" (Rhino Records' founders Richard Foos and Harold Bronson), most of the songs are taken from records that were either recorded as novelties or recorded seriously but became jokes in time. Some are jokes, some are meant to be laughed at.

"Nobody's Diary" is a song recorded by British synthpop band Yazoo. It was released in May 1983 as the first and only single from their second and last album, You and Me Both. The song was written by Alison Moyet and produced by Yazoo, Eric Radcliffe and Daniel Miller. "Nobody's Diary" peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart.
Yazoo, known in North America as Yaz, were a short-lived but quite successful '80s U.K. synth pop duo. Within a period of only 16 months, from March 1982 through July 1983, masterful synthesizer player Vince Clarke and powerhouse vocalist Alison Moyet left their mark with only two albums, Upstairs at Eric's and You and Me Both, and four hit singles including the stirring ballad "Only You" and club classic "Don't Go"…

Styled as a conspicuous companion piece to Tug of War, Pipes of Peace mirrors its 1982 cousin in many ways: its title track holds up a mirror to its forefather – and, if that weren't enough, Paul McCartney serves up the knowing "Tug of Peace," an almost-electro collage that twists the songs into McCartney II territory – it serves up two showcases for duets with a former Motown star along with a cameo from fusion superstar Stanley Clarke and, most importantly, it is also produced by former Fab Four ringleader George Martin…

Personality differences prompted the duo to successfully clear new paths separately - Clarke most notably with Erasure, and Moyet as a solo artist - temporarily reuniting for touring in 2008 and a one-off performance three years later.

"Robbery" is the 5th album by Teena Marie, released in 1983. It is her 1st album for Epic Records, following her acrimonious departure from Motown the previous year. The album was written and produced by Marie herself and features contributions from Patrice Rushen, Paulinho da Costa, and Steve Ferrone among others. However, the album did not repeat the success of her last Motown release "It Must Be Magic", stalling at #13 on the Black Albums chart and only reaching #119 on the Billboard Albums chart.

First time on CD for the Tyrone Davis 1979 album "Can’t You Tell It’s Me". Superbly remastered from the original mater tapes by Sean Brennan. Fantastic mellow soul from Tyrone - a great reminder that his vocals were still some of the burningest in 70s soul - sounding especially great in a record like this! Side one of the album's especially great - an all-mellow side that almost acts like some mini-suite of love songs, with a slinky, sexy, late nite sound! Side two picks up the groove a bit, but never too much - and Davis' warmly crackling vocals come through with a tremendous amount of feeling, even amidst clubby rhythms. Leo Graham produced, and arrangements are by Tom Tom, Gil Askey, and James Mack - on tracks that include "Can't You Tell It's Me", "Be With Me", "Heart Failure", "Burnin Up", "Love You Forever", and "Really Gonna Miss You".

Although guitarist Joe Pass recorded many unaccompanied solo albums, he made relatively few dates as part of a duo. This CD reissue of a session with tenor-saxophonist Joe Pass works quite well because Zoot Sims was a natural swinger who did not need a full rhythm section to push him…
