The Dark Zebra arose from a collaboration between Hans Zimmer and Howard Scarr. The soundset contains 400 presets—nearly all the Zebra sounds found in the The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises soundtracks, and some that did not make it into those films.

Satin - Tape simulation. Nothing else quite sounds like tape. Satin puts the legacy of tape recording in your hands: from top-of-the-line multi-track consoles to humble cassette decks. All the good (saturation, transient smoothing, compression) as well as the bad (noise modulation, flutter, hiss) qualities are under your control. Construct your (im)perfect tape machine.

A powerful, high quality (but still cpu friendly) sound engine together with numerous sound sculpting tools makes Zebra2 capable of a near-limitless range of new sounds and textures. A favourite amongst soundtrack composers, producers and sound designers, Zebra2 provides all the tools you need—the rest is up to you.

The oscillators, filters and envelopes closely model components found in some of the great monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. Modules can be mixed and matched so you can build hybrids, but what sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the analogue sound. This comes at the cost of quite a high CPU-hit, but we think it was worth it: Diva is the first native software synth that applies methods from industrial circuit simulators (e.g. PSpice) in realtime.

Hive Science by Howard Scarr and Kevin Schröder, a collaboration between two generations of sound designers at the top of their game. Phobia is a collection of 118 presets with many dark and evocative soundscapes, fx, swells and pads, bass, arps and sequences. The main focus-points of Phobia are the Oscillators and Comb filters. Comb filter is a powerful tool in Zebra² and can be used to alter the sound essentially; combining it with the XY performance controls, it offers you endless combinations to create your own unique sounds.
