Gilbert O'Sullivan is without doubt one of the UK's most successful singer songwriters. He became a worldwide superstar in the 70's topping the UK and US single charts. Today he continues to be regarded as one of the world s finest songwriters with his songs being covered by major artists including Michael Bublé, Neil Diamond and Nina Simone, with notable admirers including Paul Weller and Mick Hucknall. Gilbert has had 14 top 40 singles including 3 number 1 singles Clair , Get Down and Alone Again (Naturally) in the US. This new 2CD ultimate collection features all of his classic hits but also comes right up to date with his latest single No Way (which has been a massive hit at Radio 2) and the brand new single which is a remixed version of I Guess I ll Always Love You (to be released in June).The tracklisting has been hand-picked by Gilbert and includes a number of his personal and live favourites making this the definitive collection. In 1972, one of Jamaica's most popular and successful singers, John Holt, teamed up with British-born record producer, Tony Ashfield to create a style of reggae aimed at appealing to music listeners of all ages and colours throughout the world. By combining Jamaican rhythms with sophisticated western arrangements, the pair succeeded in their aim, producing an album that exceeded all expectations. ‘The Further You Look’ set the standard for what later became widely known as ‘pop reggae’ and quickly became a must-have album for a broad spectrum of record buyers, selling in vast numbers amongst both black and white communities.

One of the more intriguing Purple eras from over the years was their "Mark IV" lineup, which was comprised of David Coverdale (vocals), Glenn Hughes (vocals, bass), Tommy Bolin (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards), and Ian Paice (drums). The reason being that there was no Ritchie Blackmore in their ranks, and this lineup only managed a single studio album, the oft-overlooked Come Taste the Band, and a year after disbanding in 1976, a subpar live album, Last Concert in Japan…

Multi-platinum-selling band TRAIN is set to pay homage to one of their biggest musical inspirations with the first cover album of their career called DOES LED ZEPPELIN II. The album is set for release on June 3, 2016 on Crush Music in association with Atlantic Records, Led Zeppelin’s record label, which released the original Led Zeppelin II in October 1969. The nine-track collection follows the original Led Zeppelin II track listing, including classic hit songs such as “Ramble On” and “Whole Lotta Love.” The album, available for pre-order now, will be available on CD, limited edition vinyl, digital download, and all streaming services.

Andando el Tiempo features new music of wide emotional compass by Carla Bley, and underlines her originality and resourcefulness as a jazz composer. “Saints Alive!” sets up animated conversations between the participants with striking statements from Steve Swallow’s bass guitar and Andy Sheppard’s soprano sax. The stately “Naked Bridges/Diving Brides” draws inspiration from Mendelssohn and the poetry of Paul Haines. And the powerful three part title composition – which addresses the trials and tribulations of recovery from addiction - moves through sorrow to hopefulness and joy.

An epic progressive rock tour de force, Big Big Train's tenth studio album is its most ambitious yet. Breathing new life into traditional themes and creating a few new ones along the way, the crafts of melody and storytelling beat strongly at the heart of the Big Big Train and inform every track on Folklore. Featuring an eight piece band and brass quintet - augmented by a string quartet - the album provides a superb showcase for David Longdon's emotional vocals and the band's dramatic extended compositions.
