Under Linden

Formed in La Plata at the beginning of the millennium, Argentinean instrumental band Ünder Linden is one of the most refreshing novelties in the world of symphonic prog in their country. The band's style is very dynamic and modern-sounding, mostly based on the guitar-violin duels fluidly set upon lush keyboards and a strong, precise rhythm duo. Main influences are Camel, UK and Focus, with certain similarities to KBB, but mainly providing an original effort.
"Espacios intermedios" is the lads' second studio effort, and also presents a more in-depth quest for rhythmic variations in each composition featured on this album.

Like the Occitan troubadours and the trouvères of northern France, the Minnesänger celebrated courtly love and gave medieval German its letters of nobility. These "singers of love" — Minne is the old German word for love — thus perpetuated a poetic and musical tradition that had begun nearly two centuries earlier in Occitania. The Minnesänger, generally of noble and knightly blood, gradually emancipated themselves from their French models and developed their own styles and forms during the 13th century.

The band EKSEPTION started as a Rhythm and Blues band, having their start under some different names for the band since the late fifties (The Incrowd, The Jokers). By the mid sixties the name of the band was changed to EKSEPTION, with trumpet player Rein van der Broek (who died in May of this year) being the only musician who was present in all the recordings that this band released during its existence.
