"God Bless the Chilled" is an amazing compilation, and it's beautifully mixed from start to finish. This Album pays homage to almost the entire history of electronic music, from Harry Hosano and Conrad Schnizler to contemporary artists such as Rei Harakami and Simon Posford's Shpongle.
max 404 is the pseudonym of Dutch dance producer Erwin van Moll. Since 1992 he has been releasing internationally acclaimed records on labels such as Eevo Lute Muzique, Djax Records, United Recordings, Evolution / Universal Language Productions Ltd. (the label of Tom Middleton), Lucid Recordings (label of the Amsterdam club Mazzo), Mo Wax and SSR (Freezone). He has also done remixes for artists such as David Holmes, Kirk Degiorgio, Gert-Jan Bijl (from Sensurreal), Terrace, Sonar Lodge and Rei Harakami. His productions are as musically diverse as his own musical tastes: elements of house, breakbeats, dub, techno, disco and ambient music blend together in an organic, unique sound. The influential UK mag Muzik chose his 1995 debut CD album "Love & Mathematics" as album of the month and wrote "This impossibly beautiful album offers 14 slices of emotive excellence". 2003 saw a new explosion of productions from max 404: first off he recorded "Dirty Disco Vol. 1" for the ultra-hip label Eskimo Recordings. Then he did a 12" with fellow Eindhoven-based producer Sonar Lodge called "Celsius" (including a remix from Domu). And on top of that, he's part of production duo Clashing Egos (together with his musical partner Jan Vanderlest), with whom he composed and produced records like "It's in the music" (by Warm), a summer hit in 2001 featuring UK singer Kirsty Hawkshaw and in 2003 they produced the critically acclaimed "Funky Feet" (by Jean Winner) single on Eskimo Recordings.
Compiled by Interchill's in house artist Gordon Field, Earth Octave Lounge takes the listener into deep moods and fun-key-ness by traveling smoothly across the musical path of well rounded beats and bass while always keeping the emotional arpeggio intact.
E il paradiso verrà") di un classico del soul di Philadelphia, "If you don't know me by now", grande hit internazionale del 1972 per Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes.
The only album of this amazing Swedish band was released in 1973 on Harvest label and consisted truly powerful collection of largely instrumental and improvised heavy progressive music, characterized by catchy and adventurous melodies, massive, powerful and fluid guitar playing, very solid and inventive drumming, fine keyboards phrases and nice sax and flute passages. lt’s worth noting that of the five tracks, only two lasted less than 7 minutes. In sharp contrast to rather ugly and slightly disgusting cover the Panta Rei’s music was very matured and truly excellent. lt’s an album which can't be missed! This CD was carefully remastered from the original, analogue source and now sounds great!

Tempus Rei is further evidence that the ambient artist known as Alio Die is in fact the reincarnation of a very old soul, probably from the High Middle Ages dovetailing into the Renaissance. The matter-of-fact list of devices used to make this extraordinary album - "drones and loops, zither and field recordings" - reveals nothing about the depth and mystery of the two, half-hour long pieces.Stating however as the artist does that it was "celebrated", rather than created, speaks volumes. The entire album is redolent of old, musty wooden beams and fusty, book-lined rooms, as entire collections of ancient instruments appear to have been sampled and woven into this irresistibly captivating tapestry. As an added temporal twist, the entire recording features its own, discreet background track of rainy, current-day street sounds, tires whishing by on wet pavement, a heavy, gusting wind casting raindrops at the window.
One of the most understated and yet most powerful of Alio Die´s many unforgettable works.
