Until The End Of Time is the fourth studio album by the German synthpop band The Twins. Inspired primarily by bands like Depeche Mode, OMD, John Foxx, Devo, and The Human League, their earliest works were dance floor fillers, adding a little italo-esque edge for good measure. Music The Twins, very invokes fond memories and thoughts and is reflection of the emotion and soul also too wonderful back to the 80s.

When he played his revamp of Gwen McCrae's "Funky Sensation" during a 1981 DJ slot on New York's WBLS, Shep Pettibone perked the ears of then-emergent producer Arthur Baker. The presenter and co-producer of this boxed set consequently initiated a collaboration on the answer record "Jazzy Sensation," the first 12" crediting Pettibone. By the end of the next year, Pettibone's solo "mastermixes" had become so numerous and prized that a dozen for the Prelude label alone were rounded up for commercial release on double vinyl. The DJ and remix artist soon diversified as a pop producer, most notably as an indispensable Madonna associate. The four-disc Classic 12" Master-Mixes features neither "Funky Sensation" nor "Jazzy Sensation," and doesn't include anything Pettibone did for Prelude or with Madonna.

She's Having a Baby [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] Review by William Ruhlmann
She's Having a Baby was the last in a series of 1980s coming-of-age movies written and usually directed by John Hughes, following Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Pretty in Pink (1986), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and Some Kind of Wonderful (1987). In the earlier films, Hughes had focused on high school, but She's Having a Baby traced the lives of a young couple from marriage to the birth of their first child. It was a comedy-drama examining American middle-class mores in the '80s, and Stewart Copeland's score matched its tone, while such musical inclusions as the male lead character's labored attempt at procreation to the tune of Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang" added humorous elements.

Despite its age, this collection remains the best introduction to the wonderfully bizarre sounds of Jethro Tull - a unique combination of folk music, progressive rock, heavy metal, and of course, Ian Anderson's ubiquitous flute. Drawing exclusively from the band's '70s heyday, opener "Living in the Past" sets the retrospective tone, leading the way into the signature guitar riff of "Aqualung," the band's multifaceted pièce de résistance. Though lyrically indecipherable, "Locomotive Breath" is equally timeless, and the moment when John Evan's fanciful piano intro gives way to Martin Barre's guitar feedback remains thrilling. With his acoustic guitar in hand, Ian Anderson becomes a medieval bard, drawing the listener into worlds of legend both threatening ("Sweet Dream," "Witches Promise") and joyously carefree ("Thick as a Brick," "Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day")…

Since the late 90s, Amorphous Androgynmous AKA The Future Sound Of London AKA Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans have been weaving together two-hour broadcasts of their favourite records that could be loosely classed as 'Cosmic Space Music'. After ten years of messing with our heads via the wireless, they now pick their choicest mind-melting moments on what promises to be a fine series of double CDs. It's a collection that perfectly runs the gauntlet from kitsch (Lord Sitar's I Am The Walrus) to uber cool (Miles Davis or Can). Donovan, Osibisa, Can, Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Hawkwind and many more.

The late 60s was a golden age for pop, bubblegum, psychedelia and lounge. The summer of love was in full swing, England had recently won the world cup, man was landing on the moon, people were starting to travel overseas and there was definitely something in the air. This soundtrack, hand-picked by Pete Lawrence reflects and revives that golden age, a superlative double CD set of tracks from the likes of The Mamas and Papas, The Cowsills, Thunderclap Newman, Traffic, Warm Sounds, The Box Tops and The Association. This music made a profound impression on Pete as a pre-teen adolescent and here, he re-assesses a golden age in music at a time when everything seemed that little bit more utopian and magical. The sentiments, inevitably about love, peace and nature, retain their relevance with an added resonance today, given the trajectory of the last 40 years and the adoption of many values from the hippy era by a large majority today, and the music, remastered here with love and care, sounds as vibrant and contemporary as anything else on offer at the moment. 40 years since `summer of love' - all tracks from around 1967 2-CD collection of sixties tracks - hits and rare gems, compiled by Pete Lawrence of the Big Chill.

French synthesizer guru Jean-Michel Jarre brought progressive electronic music to the mainstream, releasing several best-selling albums that helped pave the way for synth pop, new age, and trance, in addition to performing extravagant, record-breaking concerts. He became a household name following the release of 1976's Oxygène, a home-recorded synth odyssey that eventually sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. Following its success, he began staging large-scale outdoor concerts featuring laser displays and fireworks, breaking the world record for concert attendance three times. He became the first Western artist to perform in China, and the events were documented on the 1982 release The Concerts in China…
