NOW is proud to present the next instalment in our ongoing ‘Yearbook’ series – NOW – Yearbook 1988 with 82 tracks across 4CDs, celebrating this eclectic year in Pop.

NOW That’s What I Call Music! is excited to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we are proud to present four very special collector’s editions that together present 250 essential hits from the past 40 years on CD. The first of these is NOW That's What I Call 40 Years: Volume 1 - 1983-1993. Looking back at 10 years of huge Pop hits, this special edition 3CD is housed in ‘hard-back-book’ packaging, including a 26-page booklet featuring a summary of the era, a track-by-track guide, a quiz, plus original singles and NOW artwork.

The NOW 12” 80s series is back with the latest addition – NOW 12” 80s: 1982 – Part 2 – to be released on April 12th.
1982 was a year of rapid change, both culturally and on the charts, and with too many essential 12”’s to all be included on one volume, Part 2 features a further 49 extended, full-length, or remixed versions across four CDs from some of the most innovative and popular artists of the era. This was the year when 12" singles became an essential part of a singles’ release, creating a unique experience for fans across all genres from Disco, through New Wave, New Romantic, and to the fresh synth-driven Pop of 1982.

Get ready to crank up the volume and let the music take you on a journey through 79 epic hits, spread across 4 CDs.
CD1 kicks off with Queen's outstanding ‘Don't Stop Me Now’, followed by Def Leppard's anthemic ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ and Meat Loaf's classic ‘Bat Out of Hell’. Bon Jovi's ‘Livin' On A Prayer’ and Survivor's powerhouse #1 ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ keep the adrenaline pumping, leading into another #1 from Europe with ‘The Final Countdown’. Still sounding fresh today, RUN DMC’s collaboration with Aerosmith - ‘Walk This Way’ and Billy Joel’s ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ are featured alongside an amazing run of ‘80s hits from Rock giants, including Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Pretenders, Cher, ZZ Top and Pat Benatar, plus another hit collaboration between Gary Moore and Phil Lynott. The year that NOW’s story began, and where we started our ‘Yearbook’ series back in 2021. An incredible year in Pop music, and between that first ‘Yearbook’, it’s ‘Extra’, and more of the year’s hits featuring on the ‘80-84 Final’ and it’s ‘Extra’ we have featured over 150 tracks on CD so far in our appreciation of 1983. Those tracks were generally the bigger hits of the year with their Chart achievement a factor in their inclusion - however – that’s not the whole story, and our celebration of 1983 wouldn’t be complete without shining a light on some of the year’s singles that have been compiled much less frequently over the past 40 years… Welcome to the THE VAULT for 1983…Some of the tracks were Top 40 hits, some missed the Chart completely, and some were huge in the U.S. and not in the U.K. – but all are part of the wonderful Pop story of 1983.
