RADIANCE is a new work by Stephan Mathieu comprising twelve album-length pieces, each of them following the concept of stasis, the unfolding of time and sustained frequencies, deep listening, and immersive soundscapes.
Après 200 millions de disques vendus dans le monde et 54 ans de carrière, Mireille Mathieu sort le 9 novembre 2018 un nouvel album (le premier en France depuis 13 ans) intitulé «Mes classiques», où elle revisite les plus grands airs classiques composés par Tchaïkovski, Mozart, Brahms, Schubert, Fauré, Haendel… Accompagnée par les 90 musiciens de l’Ensemble Symphonique de Prague, Mireille Mathieu interprète en 7 langues différentes (français, anglais, allemand, espagnol, italien, russe, latin) de magnifiques chansons écrites par des paroliers de renom tels que Claude Lemesle. L’album contient également «Meine Rose (Letzte Rose)», chanson adaptée du sublime poème irlandais «The Last Rose of Summer», et le cantique mondialement connu «Amazing Grace». Enregistré à Prague en juillet 2017 aux Smecky Studios et mastérisé aux mythiques Abbey Road Studios de Londres, «Mes classiques» est le disque que Mireille Mathieu a secrètement toujours rêvé de faire. Ce rêve devient enfin réalité pour elle avec ce très bel album, écrin parfait pour sa voix unique.
French chanteuse Mireille Mathieu is classically known for her illustrious French crooning during the '60s and '70s. In the early '60s, French pop vocalist Johnny Hallyday's manager Johnny Stark noticed Mathieu's enchanting vocalic beauty and later built her into her own star with the classic urchin hairdo and loud, vibrant costumes. She was quickly hailed as the next Edith Piaf and her 1965 performance run at the Paris Olympia sparked her recording relationship with Barclay Records.
