Expanded reissue of the 1984 classic. Contains 10 bonus tracks, 7 previously unissued. New art and liner notes from Nighthawk Records' Leroy Jodie Pierson. Justin Hinds topped the charts in Jamaica with his 1964 single "Carry Go Bring Home" and eventually recorded a staggering seventy singles for the Treasure Island Record label. A ska and rocksteady pioneer, after a short stint with Mango Records in the '70s, he returned to the studio to record material for Nighthawk Records.

Travel With Love, originally released in 1984, was followed almost a decade later by Know Jah Better in 1992. This time, Hinds moved from his roots and embraced the evolving dancehall scene, while never abandoning the benchmarks of his classic sound.

South Africa native Lorraine Klaasen learned how to perform on the world’s stages by tagging along with her mother Thandie Klaasen, a highly respected jazz singer. This allowed Klaasen to launch her career at an early age, and after successfully touring Europe, she decided to settle in Montreal. Since then, she’s been involved in musical theatre, won a JUNO award, and released three albums. On her latest project, Nouvelle Journйe, she pays homage to her homeland by singing in the many languages of South Africa—specifically Tsonga, Sotho, isiZulu, Xhosa, English, and French—and by creating her own form of Township music.

Justin Currie will make his debut at Perth Festival of the Arts, an event to which his father used to contribute a new opera production each year. Since launching a post-Del Amitri solo career a decade ago, Currie junior has essayed just about every sort of music bar opera, but his fourth solo album follows those he made for Rykodisc and 2013's Lower Reaches with another collection of slightly maudlin Americana, songs about omnipotence and self-obsession that reward rather closer listening that the Dels' pop hits demanded.

For followers who bemoan guitarist John Abercrombie's tendency to record rather adventurous albums with an often electronically treated tone, Witchcraft will be a delight. On this duo recording with bassist Don Thompson (who also plays piano on three tracks), the guitarists' sound is untreated, and the repertoire is standards. The two play well together, and there are some lovely moments on the record. The title track finds Abercrombie using the differing tonal qualities of his guitar's open strings to give the melody a unique interpretation.

The Bluiett Baritone Saxophone Group strikes again. Four baritone saxes make for quite a wall of low-register sound, and every quartet member but Bluiett – Patience Higgins, James Carter, and Alex Harding – doubles on bass clarinet. In Carter's case, make that contra-bass clarinet, an instrument that can cause the room to shake. Since the horns have the bass function covered, all that's needed are drums; hence the presence of trapsman Lee Person and percussionist Kahil El'Zabar.
