Vamps Bloodsuckers

1928: Lyovuschka, a Soviet worker, is cast in the role of Trotsky for Eisenstein‘s latest film, but quickly finds his dreams of an actor‘s life shattered when Trotsky falls into Stalin‘s disfavor. Exiled from his homeland, he poses as a wealthy baron and finds himself stuck in a glamorous seaside resort in Germany awaiting a barge that will take him to Hollywood. A summer romance kicks off when he meets the eccentric factory owner Octavia Flambow-Jansen - it's just too bad there are vampires around.

Britain's the Vamps turn toward EDM- and R&B-influenced pop on their third studio album, 2017's Night & Day: Night Edition. A four-member boy band who have been nipping at the heels of One Direction since debuting in 2013, the Vamps make dancey pop. The album follows the group's similarly inclined sophomore effort, 2015's Wake Up. However, where that album found the band playing a guitar- and synth-based new wave style of pop, here they've chosen a more electronic-based sound. There are a few interesting jams on Night & Day: Night Edition, like the '80s-style, Daft Punk-disco meme "Shades On" and the flamenco-tinged "It's a Lie" featuring Tini. We also get festival anthems like "All Night" with Matoma, the clubby-seducer "Hands" featuring Sabrina Carpenter, and the Mumford & Sons folk of "Stay."

Vamps embarked on their first world tour in the fall of 2010. Making stops in the following countries: Taiwan, United States, Spain, France, China and Chile. Their seventh single "Memories" was released on December 15, 2010 and contains the B-side "Get Up -Japanese Ver.-", which is an alternative version of "Get Up" that translates some of the English lyrics into Japanese. This recording of the song was used in the Bakuman. anime, which features a fictionalized version of Hyde that is voiced by the singer himself. On July 13, 2011, Vamps released their fourth DVD, Vamps Live 2010 World Tour Chile, which was recorded in Santiago on November 6, 2010 at the Caupolican Theatre.
