Versalife Manifold (2020)

This Grappelli box set bringing together 37 titles, including 23 previously unreleased, celebrates the violinist's friendship with the pianist, composer, arranger and conductor Gérard Gustin. A first album, entirely unpublished, produced by Sacha Distel in 1970, allows us to hear Stéphane in a “string” context. A setting that perfectly suits this gentleman of the violin. The two quartet sessions brought together in the second volume present another aspect of the discographic collaboration between the two men, which spanned almost ten years. As a bonus, a new unpublished quintet session from 1961, with guitarist Pierre Cullaz.

Armadillo Records announced for October the release of “Somewhere in Brazil – The Brazilian Tribute to Iron Maiden”, a double album in tribute to the Iron Maiden, with only Brazilian bands. Each band will contribute a classic and all phases of Maiden, with its three main vocalists, will be represented in the collection that will feature songs from the band's discography up to the album “Brave New World”, which marked Dickinson's return to the group.

A double CD set including Live At The Venue and the 4th Album Rehearsal Sessions (both containing recordings from 1980). Featuring a line-up of Bill Bruford, John Clark, Dave Stewart and Jeff Berlin, both of these discs were previously only available in the Seems Like a Lifetime Ago box set and see their first release outside of the box here. This definitive re-release is on Bruford’s own Winterfold Records and was overseen personally by Bill.
