The first four RCA albums of the late Jerry Reed from 1967, 1968 and 1969, Jerry Reed was a multi-talented musician and singer-songwriter, and received great public attention when Elvis Presley landed great hits with Reed's songs 'Guitar Man' and 'U.S. Male'. Reed made it to number 1 in the country charts in the early 1970s with 'Lord Mr. Ford' and 'When You're Hot, You're Hot'. In the mid-1970s he preferred a successful acting career to a return to music.

Poem for Malcolm is a jazz album by Archie Shepp. Recorded in Paris in August 1969 only two days after Yasmina, a Black Woman, it again features musicians from the Art Ensemble of Chicago. This time, the tone is resolutely set to avant garde and free jazz, with a political edge in the all but explicit tribute to Malcolm X. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states: "This LP from the English Affinity LP is a mixed bag. Best is 'Rain Forrest' on which tenor saxophonist Archie Shepp, in a collaboration with trombonist Grachan Moncur III, pianist Vince Benedetti, bassist Malachi Favors, and drummer Philly Joe Jones, perform some stirring jazz; the interplay between Shepp and Jones is particularly exciting.

David Bowie Narrates Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf is a classical music album containing David Bowie's narration of Sergei Prokofiev's 1936 composition Peter and the Wolf. The music is performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy. The album was released in May 1978 on RCA Records. It reached number 136 on the US Pop Albums chart. Bowie was RCA's third choice to undertake the narration for Peter and the Wolf behind Alec Guinness and Peter Ustinov, who had both turned the album down. Bowie has since said that it was a Christmas present for his son, Duncan Jones, then at 7 years old.
