Vladimir Cosma was born in Bucharest, but even at a young age he moved to France and at first played the cello with Nadia Boulanger, where he became addicted to the genre of "musical illustration."
It is not surprising that the young talent drew the attention of the master of French comedy Yves Robert, and in 1968 Cosmas wrote his first soundtrack for his film "Blessed Alexander." Long-term cooperation with Robert quickly made Cosmas famous comedians in the environment - it works with Francis Weber, Gerard Uri, Claude Zidi and Pascal Thomas, wrote the music for most of the films with Pierre Richard, Gerard Depardieu, Louis de Funes and the other kings of the French comedy.

In his time, Sofronitsky became widely recognized as the leading interpreter of and authority on the music of Scriabin in Eastern Europe. He was also highly praised for his interpretations of the piano works of Robert Schumann and he was a highly respected teacher. His father, a successful physicist, took the family to Warsaw in 1903, where the young Sofronitsky would grow up and develop his musical skills. As a child, he showed unusual talent on the piano and his parents arranged for studies with A. Lebedeva-Getsevich and Aleksander Michalowski.

'One of the best Vladimir Cosma's soundtrack!! Realy funky! In film "Le Coup Du Parapluie" he receives one of the very first credits in the opening titles, even before the rest of the crew and most of the actors. This soundtrack didn't include some other great tracks from film; "Allo Samba" from "Le Retour Du Grand Blond" film and later released on "Le Moustachu" 7" track named "La Mission". This LP was reissued on CD in 1995 by Pomme Music, but the track named "Souper Pour Deux" was rejected, but you can still find it on "L'Etudiante" soundtrack, it's name - "Premier Baiser".
