Classic is a soft rock song by British singer-songwriter Adrian Gurvitz from his solo album, Classic. Warner Bros. Music decided to form a special label, Pacific Records, for their composers who also performed. O Day was the first artist signed, and his first release was Undercover Angel. The original vinyl pressing was released with the B-side Just You. Lonely Boy is an international hit song, written and recorded by Andrew Gold for his album Whats Wrong with This Picture? It spent five months on the American charts, peaking at number seven in both Canada and the United States. Shes Gone is a song written and originally performed by pop music duo Daryl Hall and John Oates. It was included on their album, Abandoned Luncheonette.

David Ruffin - The Best of David Ruffin (2000)  Music

Soul, Funk, RnB | MP3 320 kbps CBR | Scans | 46 min | 110 MB
Label: Motown | Rel: 2000

Things got off to a good start when David Ruffin left The Temptations. He had a smash hit with "My Whole World Ended(The Moment You Left Me)" and a decent hit with "I've Lost Everything". But then he did not have another hit until 1975, with "Walk Away From Love". Whats more interesting is what took place during the intervening years, such as his legendary unreleased album, recorded between 1970 and '71. Hardcore Ruffin fans maintain that this was his best solo material and would have taken him to another level of stardom, but strangely, Motown did not release it. Some of these songs have turned up over the years on compilations like this one,(Each Day Is A Lifetime) and his scorching version of The Jackson Five's "I Want You Back",(Motown's Greatest Rarities Vol. 1).

2 CD set. The roots of Reggae lie, as we know, in the small Caribbean island of Jamaica. It's origins can be found in African Caribbean music, but because of Jamaica's close ties with the US and Europe, in particular the UK, it is hardly surprising that a great many of Reggae Music's pioneers were hugely influenced in the '50s and '60s by the emerging artists from America and the UK, especially those involved with R&B and Soul. This double CD collection of some of Jamaica's finest exponents of Reggae shows some great examples of this outside influence on Reggae music. There's John Holt, in many peoples minds Reggae's finest ever vocalist, singing Wilson Pickett's classic 'In The Midnight Hour', Devon Russell saluting Curtis Mayfield with 'Move On Up' (taken from his tribute to Curtis Mayfield album Darker Than Blue), Sugar Minott covering the Righteous Brothers 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling', UK based Anthony Johnson with a version of The Commodores' 'Just To Be Close To You'. Elvis Presley gets a look in as Jackie Edwards sings 'Are You Lonesome Tonight', Delroy Wilson sings Marvin Gaye's timeless 'What's Going On' and Dennis Brown, The Crown Prince Of Reggae even manages a cover of The Beatles' 'You Won't See Me'. Prestige. 2006
