“WWIII” marks Walker’s third collaboration with 4-time Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell), on the heels of two trailblazing albums that shook the country music world to its core: debut album “Redneck Shit” and “Ol’ Wheeler.”

The biggest story of Ol' Wheeler is that everyone thought Redneck Shit was a one-note joke. But Ol' Wheeler somehow manages to be even better than it's predecessor. With more complex instrumentation - Cobb and the same backing band of session men from Redneck Shit are behind the new album - and more serious themes about life on the road and the expectations from being Nashville's enemy number one, Wheeler has turned his life into filthy art. As he recently acknowledged to Rollling Stone, Wheeler is confident that his new record will 'grab Nashville by the p.ssy.' And yes, in case you were asking, the new album is just as dirty. Ropes is Manchester-based guitarist Mike Walker's second album as a leader and it couldn't be much more different from his fusion-oriented debut Madhouse and the Whole Thing There (Hidden Idiom, 2008). This album is a jazz-with-strings affair and a fine one at that. The mood is mostly gentler, more reflective and more pastoral than on his debut. With Ropes, Walker has also significantly extended his compositional palette.

Since returning from the USA, guitarist Philipp van Endert has established himself as a distinct and unmistakable voice in the current jazz scene. He has played numerous tours and recordings throughout America and Europe, and has followed invitations from many international festivals including the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, The Hague Jazz, Jazz Sur Son / Toulouse, Ankara Jazz Festival and the Leverkusen Jazz Festival.
