The band constructed new songs melding together their ambitious visions. Each track on Evil Friends is as different from the next as Portugal. The Man’s previous records were from each other, which is to say a piece of growing mindscape, and wholly a part of the group’s tumbling fever dream.

For Man on Man, the duo of boyfriends Roddy Bottum (Imperial Teen, Faith No More) and Joey Holman (Holman), 2021 was a monumental year. Without knowing exactly what they were making the year prior, the couple had recorded a batch of songs while traveling across the country to be with their ailing mothers during the pandemic, both of whom passed away in the span of just 6 months.

Rory Graham AKA Rag'n'Bone Man is British Neo-blues and soul singer who laid down his deep, powerful vocals over electronic backing with hip-hop-styled beats for a fresh, unique sound. "Human" is his debut album. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart on sales of 117,000, making it the fastest-selling debut album by a male artist during the 2010s. In 2016 Rag'N'Bone Man won the Brits Critics' Choice Awards 2017.

We just come off a crazed US tour with Fourtet a month earlier, and a few months before that we did our first and very well-recieved tour of the UK after the big Wire article. Vibracathedral Orchesta & Jack Rose were also on the bill.

"Woodstock" is the eighth full-length album by Alaskan rock band Portugal. The Man. After having released "Evil Friends" in 2013, Portugal. The Man began work on a new project, under the working title "Gloomin + Doomin". This album was eventually shelved, partly due to a conversation between John Gourley and his father and the discovery of a lost ticket stub from the Woodstock festival. Work began on the "Woodstock" album shortly thereafter, involving new music as well as material from the "Gloomin + Doomin" era.

On his third voyage as Skyway Man, artist + producer James Wallace is still seeking answers beyond the stars and still coming back with more questions in the form of ten brilliant songs. On its surface, 'Flight of the Long Distance Healer' registers as another concept album replete with aliens and alternative philosophy, but this time around, Wallace coats the glass with a vital layer of self-reflection.

Having waited 17 years for Drift Code, some may be surprised at Clockdust's swift arrival, but the album's roots can be found in the same extended sessions. "Early on I realised I had two albums worth of material," Webb explains. "The first tunes I wrote were electric guitar based, with long arrangements that built up in layers to something sonically quite dense. These became the bulk of Drift Code. As a reaction, I wrote a batch of songs that were tighter in their structure but had more feeling of space. These make up the bulk of Clockdust."

The U-Man Trio, the Italian group formed by the pianist Gaia Possenti, the double bass player Fabrizio Cecca and the drummer Massimo Carrano, has brought together in the album, written in "six hands", influences from jazz and classical music on Latin and jazz rhythmic media.
