Why Billie Holiday? You MUST be kidding! Iconic classic era for and of music. These 5 album series (I believe) are marketed out of Germany. I also have a 5 Album series done for The Byrds. The beauty of these, at least for me, is the way they are packaged. It's not like you can't go to YouTube or virtually anywhere and get the songs on these CD's. The meticulous way they're put together is great and the "sleeves" for each CD are replications of the original album Cover Art. So even though you're not buying something intrinsically valuable for your collection, you are bringing back the memories of better times and friends and things you did back then. You notice I didn't mention the music you're getting? Did I really have to? Billie Holiday is as classic as it gets and as Iconic as it gets. I relate her music to Bob Dylan in this respect: When you hear her, it's Billie! NO ONE has that voice. Distinctively a class all her own. If you've never heard her music, sample some freebies here on Amazon or go to YouTube and listen. If you aren't a fan, you just may become one quickly. I love dis stuff !

Garnet Mimms is remembered for "Cry Baby," his smash 1963 debut single. His version topped Billboard's R&B charts and went to number four pop, but it's best-remembered as the source for Janis Joplin's classic rock cover, which is a good testament to Mimms' influence, if not to the depth of his own body of work. Mimms racked up many other charting singles but they usually appeared on the pop, not R&B, charts, giving a good indication of the kind of soul he sang. He specialized in a grand, symphonic sound partway between Jerry Butler and Sam Cooke, sometimes sounding like a gutsier Chuck Jackson. Listening to Ace's 2015 compilation Looking for You: The Complete United Artists & Veep Singles, a 28-track set that contains all the As & Bs from the 14 singles he released between 1963 and 1966, his soaring voice is indeed commanding, every bit as powerful as a Jackie Wilson or Otis Redding, but it's also clear that this Philadelphia native is a creature of the east coast: the upscale productions are as towering as Mimms' voice.

"Swing" is a soundtrack for the 1999 film of the same name, which stars Lisa Stansfield, who also recorded ten songs for the soundtrack and co-wrote four of them. The album was released in Europe on 10 May 1999 and in North America on 13 July 1999. Swing garnered favorable reviews from music critics who called it a "gem" among the soundtracks.
