Gathering together an eight-piece band of outstanding musicians, Zoe Rahman has created The Colour Of Sound: the most ambitious, many-hued, uplifting large-ensemble music of her multi-award winning career.

Described in The Observer newspaper as 'one of the finest young pianists in Europe', Zoe Rahman has firmly established herself as one of the brightest stars on contemporary jazz scene. Her most recent album, Melting Pot, has been short-listed for the 2006 Nationwide Mercury Prize and was voted 'Jazz Album of the Year' at the 2006 Parliamentary Jazz Awards. The album has been hailed as 'one of the most distinctive piano trio albums' (Jazzwise magazine), a "fantastic new album' (Courtney Pine, BBC Radio 2), and 'in every way, an impressive sequel to her debut'.

Delve into the world of myths reconstructed in music by celebrated composers from different cultures and times. Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 6 in A major, Op. 82 is a sonata for solo piano, the first of the "War Sonatas". It was composed in 1940 and first performed on 8 April of that year in Moscow, with the composer at the piano.

The collaboration between cellist Zoe Knighton and pianist Amir Farid continues with a collection of short works by Clara and Robert Schumann.

Muriel Zoe’s creativity springs from a rare skill in two fields: she has not just a great musical but also an artistic talent which developed early and which have fed off each other since then. Muriel Zoe is today a freelance musician and painter as well as a teacher of painting and graphic art in Hamburg.
