This is political music. Obviously. This is music that started in jest, making fun of the embarrassment that is Donald Trump as President of the United States. This turned into music that went in a much more serious direction when the effects of his hatred, racism, and sexism as well as his inability to run a country came to mind. So instead this music tries to be both. Dark and serious - contemplating and exploring the damage that has been felt nationwide, while simultaneously wrapped up in the laughable package of the egotistical and inept fool that is Trump. Shades of Canio from Pagliacci come to mind…
