Renowned bass-baritone Adam Plachetka celebrates the Year of Czech Music with an anthology of Czech evening songs by Antonin Dvorak, Bedrich Smetana, Zdenek Fibich and Josef Suk. All based on love poems for Vitezslav Halek's Vecerni pisne (Evening Songs), these songs provide a panorama of great Czech music, also zooming in on lesser-known repertoire.

Prophet Adam is believed to have been the first human being and (Prophet) on Earth, in Islam. Adam's role as the father of the human race is looked upon by Muslims with reverence. Muslims also refer to his wife, Hawa (Eve), as the "mother of mankind". Muslims see Prophet Adam as the first Muslim, as the Qur'an states that all the Prophets preached the same faith of Islam (Submission to One God).

Like the material it was written to complement, Adam Taylor’s soundtrack for Hulu’s adaptation of the dystopian classic The Handmaid’s Tale feels at once familiar and futuristic, hushed but deeply haunted. Sometimes, Taylor’s warping synthesizers and steadily mounting sense of dread capture the feel of an ‘80s slasher movie (“Chased”). At other times (“Ofglen and Offred”), it sounds like the lost hymn of an 18th-century period piece—a powerful (and at times powerfully unsettling) blend.

A self-taught musician from Long Beach, California, Taylor learned guitar at age 15 and performed in bands during education. He later created background music for prayer meetings at his church, which was heard by a film writer and director, Eliot Rausch. They collaborated on some short films together, and Taylor contributed to the soundtrack of August: Osage County (composed by Gustavo Santaolalla), before his first full soundtrack credit, Meadowland (2015). More recently, he composed for the TV series The Handmaid's Tale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
