'Frode Gjerstad and Paal Nilssen-Love collaboration goes back to 1992 when Paal joined Frode's Circulasione Totale Orchestra as their second drummer. Since then they have worked together in various settings as a duo, as well in trios and quartet line-ups, counting 25 CDs and LPs documenting their work. The Frode Gjerstad Trio has been around for a long time, but this version of the trio, with bass-player Jon Rune Strom, made its debut at the Blow Out festival in Oslo, august 2011. The explosive dynamic of the three coming together soon made it a fixed line-up, and since then they've toured all over the world,including Norway, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. They've also released seven recordings, of which the new CD 'Steam In The Casa' is now available on Paal's own PNL Records label. 'Steam In The Casa' captures theband in full force at Casa del Popolo in Canada, November 2015, and is a solid testament of the trio's high energy.'
