Alligator Records is pleased to announce the signing of famed Chicago-based blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Nick Moss. The Nick Moss Band Featuring Dennis Gruenling will release their label debut, The High Cost Of Low Living, in March 2018. Nick Moss is a bona fide bluesman to his soul with 12 solo releases to his credit, ranging from straight ahead Chicago blues to experimental blues-rock. The new album is a return to the classic Chicago blues ensemble sound Moss knows, lives and loves. But it's no re-creation of old songs. Moss wrote nine memorable new originals and Gruenling wrote two, all rooted in the blues tradition.

Nick Moss Band's latest is a double CD titled From the Root to the Fruit. This release presents the musical story of the birth and growth of the blues genre as it relates to popular music. "The first CD has a bit of 40's and 50's jump blues, Texas, Chicago, and Uptown sounds. The second CD focuses on progressive/experimental music and delves into 60's soul, garage punk sound, high rhythm, soul, and harder sounds," says Moss. "I wanted to showcase my band. They're a group of guys who just keep growing musically and getting better and better. I also recognized that, as a band leader, I was growing too. And since From the Root to the Fruit is about the growth and development of music, it became an appropriate catalyst to tell the band's story and my story with the band."

Australian music legend Ian Moss is set to re-release his 2023 album 'Rivers Run Dry' in a deluxe edition, featuring six electrifying live tracks. The original album, recorded at Rancom St Studios in Sydney, showcases Moss' exceptional guitar skills and unique vocal prowess. The album effortlessly spans various genres, from rock and funk to country and blues, reflecting Moss' versatility as an artist.
