Anaïs Gaudemard, named ECHO Rising Star 2018-19, offers a fascinating journey through three centuries of development of the harp’s technique and sonority, from Domenico Scarlatti to Philippe Hersant. She shows us the solo instrument from every angle; the aim of this gifted harpist is at once to care for a heritage and to reveal the musical, poetic and even humanistic intentions of the composers.

François Francœur (1698-1787) was, besides Jean-Marie Leclair, one of the most important representatives of the French violin school. He was able to combine the technical virtuosity of Italian provenance with French elegance and smooth melody. The Deuxième Livre de sonate à violon seul et basse continue was published around 1730. The baroque violinist Anaïs Chen presents, together with Daniel Rosin (cello) and María González (harpsichord), six of the twelve sonatas, which, on their first hearing, make you want more music from Francœur.

Solitudo born from the synthesis of two different searches conducted by Anais Drago in size only: the “electronics project “By Erik Satie, Frank Zappa”, which also includes attention to the arrangement and construction, minimal compositions, mostly unpublished, in which the violin can satisfy, through the modification of the sounds, to the lack of other instruments; and the “acoustic” experienced in the project “Exodus”, that, however, is based on the research timbre of the instrument in its acoustic shape, and on the improvisation more free.
