Girl Of My Dreams is an album of New Orleans Style Jazz featuring the Fone Jazz Makers. With this recording, Giulio Cesare Ricci wanted to give the listener a unique experience. It is as if the listener was sitting on an armchair positioned in the ideal position of the theater listening to this fine live recording of New Orleans Style Jazz. In this position, the depth, width, and height of the sound can be highly appreciated.

The Violins of Cremona: Homage to Kreisler 2 features violinist Salvatore Accardo accompanied by pianist Laura Manzini on this recording from Fonè Records. It features the works composed by Schumann, Mendelssohn, Dvorák and more. These selections have been chosen to honor Fritz Kreisler. Accardo plays the finest music of Fritz Kreisler on several famous and treasured violin models produced by Amati, Guarneri, and Stradivari. It is the best of the best. The album is a treasure with violinist Accardo, pianist Manzini and the listener.

This 1999 session finds Honeyboy working his acoustic magic in the company of Madison Slim on harmonica and Jimmy D. Lane, son of the late Jimmy Rogers, on second guitar. Recorded at the Blue Heaven Studios (a converted church) in Salina, Kansas, this is a pretty inspired session with Edwards running through old classics like Charlie Patton's "High Water Everywhere" and "Pony Blues", "Drop Down Mama", "Shake 'Em on Down", "Anna Lee", "Bullfrog Blues", and "Monkey Face Woman". As an added bonus, there's also an interview with this fascinating bluesman, making this session a real keeper. One of his best.

Few figures in jazz history have been able to extract as much feeling from a ballad as Chet Baker. Despite his lack of formal training, he was capable of burrowing deep inside the most sophisticated popular songs and tapping a vein of pure emotion. When surrounded by great musicians in an unusual ensemble, as he is on this album, Baker's poetic instincts were at their keenest. The distinctive septet of jazz giants contains a front line of trumpet, flute, and baritone sax playing Herbie Mann's delicate arrangements over a rhythm section that is empathy personified. Baker never recorded with a more talented or sensitive group, as the music evokes a mood captured so seductively in the cover photo.

The 1967 debut full-length studio release by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Newly remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog master tapes, the disc contains the mono and stereo mixes of this historic album. This is pure DSD sound to applaud!

This was the first trio album that Sonny Rollins recorded in the late 50s, and it remains among the most important documents of his career. Astounding melodic continuity paired with stream-of-consciousness invention, passion, and maturity on the ballads "Solitude" and "There Is No Greater Love," a brilliantly quirky title track, inspired support from Ray Brown and Shelly Manne, and a supreme wit that carried over to perhaps the greatest cover photo of all time combine to make Way Out West one of the most inspired and best loved albums in jazz history.

In the early Sixties, the Brazilian import called bossa nova swept through jazz. The music's most prominent composer was Antonio Carlos Jobim, and his score for the 1959 motion picture "Black Orpheus" was packed with songs adopted by jazz musicians. Vince Guaraldi was one of the earliest to grasp the possibilities of bossa nova and recorded four of the Black Orpheus pieces in this 1962 album. He also played two standards and two of his own compositions. One of those originals was a pleasantly rhythmic little melody called "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" which cut like a beam of sunshine through the pop music gloom of the day, beat the odds against quality music and illuminated the upper regions of the national sales charts for nearly half a year.
