The Starlight Express was adapted from a book by Algernon Blackwood, A Prisoner in Fairyland, for a theatre production in the West End during the First World War, with music by Sir Edward Elgar. Combining the usually contrasting elements of fairytale and melodrama, The Starlight Express depicts the fantasy world inhabited by a group of children, who possess a magical ‘starlight’ quality that has been lost by the adults around them. This is the most comprehensive recorded version of The Starlight Express to date, based on a new score prepared by the Elgar Edition, which has been adapted by the conductor Sir Andrew Davis.

On his second album with KAIROS, Fixations, Andrew McIntosh presents music for scordatura strings in just intonation, recorded with longtime collaborators Wild Up, Christopher Rountree, Aperture Duo, and Erika Duke-Kirkpatrick—who, together with the composer himself, appears as soloist. The album, produced by Lewis Pesacov, offers a unique exploration of the nuanced social and spatial dimensions of rhythm and tuning. Featuring 434.6, Fixations, and Duo for viola and cello, with any number of violins, it also includes a printed conversation between McIntosh and Cassandra Miller inside the booklet, opening a window into a world of circular time, care, and musical generosity.

As co-founder of Fuck Buttons; the highly-influential electronic duo, An- drew Hung has toured extensively with headline shows at the Kentish Town Forum, Glastonbury and Greenman Festivals, been featured on the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony and all three albums have featured as Best New Music on Pitchfork. His production work has included Zun Zun Egui's "Shackles Gift" and co-writing/co-producing the critically acclaimed "Kidsticks" by Beth Orton. In 2016 he soundtracked the multiple-award winning film "The Greasy Strangler", and was nominated for Best Soundtrack at the Empire Awards. In 2018 he soundtracked director Jim Hoskins' follow up to "The Greasy Strangler"; "An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn" starring Aubrey Plaza and Jermaine Clement. His debut solo album, 'Realisationship' was released via Lex Records in 2017.
