The Beatnik Termites are a Cleveland, Ohio power pop band with a heavy surf rock influence. Their sound and vocals are similar in style to the Beach Boys and early 1960s girl groups. While often lumped under the category pop punk, what sets them apart from other bands in this genre is their more complicated melodies, vocal arrangements, and mid-tempo beats. They are seen as the progenitors of subgenre of punk dubbed oldies-core, which is characterized by sugary doo-wop/oldies-influenced harmonies coupled with aggressive buzzsaw guitars and surf punk drumbeats.

Originally a product of Britain's new romantic movement, Depeche Mode went on to become the quintessential electro-pop band of the 1980s. One of the first acts to establish a musical identity based completely around the use of synthesizers, they began their existence as a bouncy dance-pop outfit but gradually developed a darker, more dramatic sound that ultimately positioned them as one of the most successful alternative bands of their era.

EVIE SANDS is a legend in her own time: emotive blue-eyed soul singer, naturally funky guitarist, indelibly compelling performer, close-the-door sultry songwriter, meticulous professional, intuitive and perceptive producer, bountiful band mate, and a musician’s musician. Amongst pop aficionados she is a bona-fide treasure. No less than Dusty Springfield cited her as a favorite singer. She was widely seen on TV,including American Bandstand, Hullabaloo, Shindig, The Tonight Show, Where The Action Is, Hollywood A Go-Go, Everly Brothers, Glen Campbell, and Johnny Cash shows. In the United Kingdom she is revered as a Northern Soul icon (“Billy Sunshine” and “Picture Me Gone”) whose pulsating vinyl records are sought after and cherished.

Record Store Day 2025. Pale Saints complete their series of 30th anniversary reissues with the expanded edition of their third and final album, Slow Buildings. As with their first two reissues, this special pressing sees a long out of print album being expanded to run over 2 discs, this time to include the ‘Fine Friend’ EP and a selection of previously unheard tracks and demos. Having been remastered, this double LP edition comes in a gatefold sleeve, being pressed on petrol blue vinyl as part of Record Store Day 2025.
