Claire Moreau, aka Claire days, is a French indie artist who writes songs since she can write and sings since pre-school. At 10, she discovered simultaneously classical guitar and the punk rock-hard rock CD section at the library – and that was the beginning of a musical journey through soft and rough textures, acoustic and electric sounds. After graduating in economic, technical and editorial translation, Claire decided it was time she did what she truly loved: music. In 2022, she released her first album Emotional Territory coproduced with English artist Fink, followed by experimental pop EP À l’ombre in 2023 – 6 songs in French recorded at home with indie musician Ugo Del Rosso.

Ce 8ème album est ainsi un nouvel objet sonore (et scénique) non identifié : les 12 chansons qui composent L’arbre en poche forment en effet la bande son du spectacle éponyme, qu’elle a écrit et mis en scène. Un spectacle dont le propos est avant tout un manifeste contre les ravages que l’homme inflige à son environnement. Entre concept album et tragi-comédie, Claire Diterzi confie pour la première fois certaines de ses compositions à la voix d’un autre, le contre-ténor Serge Kakudji.

Mendelssohn is a challenge, because his music appears to be so deceptively easy,” says the pianist Claire Huangci, speaking about her new album. Together with violinist Marc Bouchkov she has recorded works by Mendelssohn for violin and piano: the two Violin Sonatas in F – one major, one minor – and the Double Concerto in D minor.
