Ariane (e Book)

(February 9, 1928 – May 10, 2010) was an American fantasy and science fiction artist, noted for work in comic books, paperback book covers, paintings, posters, LP record album covers and other media. He was the subject of a 2003 documentary. His interpretation of Robert E. Howard's creation visually redefined the genre of sword and sorcery, and had an enormous influence on succeeding generations of artists in the genres of fantasy and science fiction. Frazetta was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1999. These are the Howard stories the covers for which Frazetta made the artwork--certainly the most iconic ever done of a fictional character. A must-have for the serious comics fan. Revolutionary Elite Brigade to Eradicate L.E.G.I.O.N. Supremacy (R.E.B.E.L.S.) is the name of two separate fictional revolutionary paramilitary groups in the DC Comics Universe. Both incarnations are basically the same team of ex-lawmen on the run from their former peace-keeping organization, L.E.G.I.O.N. (Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network), the forerunner of the Legion of Superheroes, and are led by Vril Dox, aka Brainiac 2. The 2nd team makes up the current comic-book series published by DC Comics which debuted in February 2009 (cover date April 2009). Writer Tony Bedard and artist Andy Clarke comprise the creative team. In the ongoing story Dox finds his authority of L.E.G.I.O.N. usurped a second time. Hunted by the organization he founded, Dox once again assembles a team in hopes of regaining control of L.E.G.I.O.N. In issue #9 Adam Strange and Captain Comet join the R.E.B.E.L.S.
