Two of Helen Reddy's 1974 albums, "Love Song for Jeffrey" and "Free and Easy", are combined onto one CD on this release, with the addition of historical liner notes and a couple of tracks from her 1978 album Live in London. Reddy was near the peak of her popularity in 1974, but although each album has a couple of hit singles, they're erratic works in which the singer flits uncomfortably between rock-influenced styles and more middle-of-the-road vocals.

Raven’s 2010 two-fer combines Helen Reddy’s final two albums for Capitol Records: 1977’s "Ear Candy" and 1978’s "We’ll Sing in the Sunshine", both co-productions with Kim Fowley. Ear Candy qualifies as a genuine oddity in Reddy’s catalog, a record that finds the queen of Australian soft rock paired with the king of L.A. sleaze, Kim Fowley, and his henchman Earle Mankey, a pair who were just coming off of the teenage kicks of the Runaways.

Helen Reddy (born Helen Maxine Reddy in Melbourne on October 25, 1941; died 29 September 2020) was an Australian-American singer, actor and activist. An immensely successful singer in the 1970s with numerous hit records including three U.S. #1 singles, she has sold more than 15 million albums and 10 million singles, and was the first Australian-born performer to win a Grammy award. In 1974, she became a naturalized citizen of the United States.

Most people typically regard Helen Reddy's "I Am Woman" as the quintessential anthem for the women's liberation movement in America during the '70s. But sadly for mainstream audiences, Reddy is a '70s one-hit wonder; nothing could be further from the truth. This 22-track session, Woman I Am: Definitive Collection, serves to set the record straight with a comprehensive overview of her adult contemporary chart hits from her tenure at Capitol Records during the '70s. All of her most well-known hits are here including (of course) "I Am Woman," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "Angie Baby," and "Delta Dawn," all of which cracked the Billboard Top Ten singles chart, but there are also minor hits and fan favorites which complement the collection of hits quite well.

"All-Time Greatest Hits" is a budget-priced, 10-track selection of Helen Reddy's best-known material from the '70s, and while there are some essential items missing, it still functions as a good, affordable sampler featuring such hits as "I Am Woman," "Delta Dawn," "You and Me Against the World," "Angie Baby," "Ain't No Way to Treat a Lady," "You're My World," "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him."
