Otto Kadoke è uno psichiatra specializzato nella prevenzione dei suicidi. Nonostante gli onerosi impegni di lavoro non manca mai di andare a trovare l'anziana madre, affidata alle cure di due ragazze nepalesi, Rose e June, i suoi angeli. Un giorno però il delicato equilibrio familiare si spezza: Rose apre la porta di casa vestita solo di un asciugamano e Kadoke, fraintendendo, si lascia travolgere dalle emozioni. Offesa, Rose si licenzia in tronco, trascinando con sé anche June e aizzando l'intera comunità nepalese contro lo psichiatra. Admired by Schoenberg (who described him as ‘one of the most underestimated of modern composers’), Joseph Achron was a boundary defying violinist-composer of extraordinary gifts. He drew on his Jewish faith to profound effect, from the early influence of his cantor father to his enthusiastic championing of the Society for Jewish Folk Music (which did for Jewish music what Bartók did for Eastern European folk culture). It’s hardly surprising that much of Achron’s music is for violin—he was a consummate player himself and a prolific recitalist. But what’s striking is how varied and exploratory his output is, delighting in experimentation, as the wonderfully named Suite bizarre demonstrates, just as much as the direct emotionalism of his transcriptions of Hebraic melodies. Who better to present this music than two artists steeped in similar traditions to Achron: Hagai Shaham and Arnon Erez.

The Jerusalem Post wrote that Emanuel Gruber is "one of our great artists" citing "his extraordinary capacity for projecting the deepest meaning of the music". Awarded the Pablo Casals prize by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, he also won the Concert Artists' Guild Auditions early in his career. Arnon Erez has performed in major concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Beethoven Halle in Bonn, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
