The Gods We Can Touch is an elegant and celestial but provocative album about shame, desire and morality, all seen through the narrative prism of Greek mythology. In each of the album's fifteen songs we meet a different god. Featuring lead single "Cure For Me," the album is ultimately "a celebration of being human, and what makes us human." Step I, release in 2018 was a claxon call, a call to arms, a record which oozes confidence, colour and intrigue. “There’s a deeper understanding of myself and what I want to say and do than on my first album. It’s more tuned into my soul and who I am,” explains the Bergen-based artist of IOADK-SI. “It’s about the many, many different aspects of what it is to be human. It covers the way we hurt and we love and the way we are so beautiful but also so awful.” ‘Step 2’, as AURORA refers to it, is a record that focuses on the ecological crisis and the consequences of the rampant individualism so prevalent in today’s society.

There is always poetry as well as virtuosity coursing through Enrico Gatti’s violin playing, and nowhere more so than when he turns to Italian early Baroque music, as here in Mille consigli with his Ensemble Aurora: the album title reflecting the multiplicity of emotional ideas and colours possible in violin music from this time (Gatti’s earlier recordings of similar music have recently been re-released by Glossa as L’arte del violino in Italia).
