Blues Masters at the Crossroads. A global audience returns year-after-year to worship the blues at Blue Heaven Studios in Salina, Kansas. For the first time Analogue Productions presenting six sets recorded live in 2014 at Blues Masters at the Crossroads October 17-18. And it's the first live blues concert recorded entirely in Direct Stream Digital. Includes the sets by Rip Lee Pryor, Moreland & Arbuckle, Joe Beard+Lazy Lester, George Brock, Marquise Knox and his band, Sonny Green, and none-other than the soul-blues belter Mighty Sam McClain.

Dirty Mindz, the ninth solo album from acclaimed violinist and Grammy Award-winning Snarky Puppy member Zach Brock, was almost fated to not see the light of day. In the months – and, thanks to the pandemic, subsequent years – after the bulk of the album was recorded at Dreamland studios in upstate New York in October 2019, the much sought-out musician kept hitting a wall with the project.

Major General Sir Isaac Brock is remembered as the Hero of Upper Canada for his defence of what is now Ontario during the War of 1812, and also for his noble death at the Battle of Queenston Heights. In the more than two centuries since then, Brock’s likeness has been lost in a confusing array of portraits-most of which are misidentified or conceptual.

The stimulating Wonderment is a truly collective effort by three intrepid musicians: violinist Zach Brock, bassist Matt Ulery, and drummer Jon Deitemyer. Each is an innovative composer and a brilliant improviser in his own right; together they have created a captivating work that showcases their individualities yet remains seamlessly synergistic.

Emerging out of the post-hippy fall-out of the late 1960s, Dave Brock and Hawkwind forged a new, psychedelic rock sound which, as the 1970s progressed, became the focal point of a festival scene that drew together countless alternative and counter-cultural artists, all of whom sought to take their listeners into previously unchartered realms of inner space.

Charlie Chaplin, one of film history’s greatest original geniuses, was also a gifted inventor of melodies and the meticulous musical dramaturge of his films, a fact known by too few. After writing the music for City Lights (1930) he caught the film music bug, going on to compose the music for all his other films. The complex, innovative music for Modern Times (1935), here premiered complete, represents the high point of his compositional career. Although relying on David Raksin for notation and orchestration, almost every measure of the score contains the unmistakable traits of its author.
