Dvořák’s chamber music is amongst the most extensive and significant of the 19th-century and the four surviving piano trios embody his command of the form. The first two were written in rapid succession, with No. 1 in B flat major marrying Schubertian lyricism with Slavic inflexions, serenity with joy. No. 2 in G minor is rather more classically conceived though it shares the same formal structure as No. 1 and exudes a similar quotient of lyric beauty.

Step forward the eighth set in Ace's mid-price series of vintage B.B. King recordings based on his albums released on the Crown label. Between 1957 and 1963, the Bihari brothers' dime store label released 12 albums, comprised of singles from their RPM and Kent labels, tracks from the vaults, plus dedicated album sessions. Despite the "cheap and cheerful" production values, the B.B. King Crown albums became collectors' items due to the high quality of B.B.'s recordings and the eye-catching artwork. The LPs were a discographical headache until Ace was able to unravel the details.

Legendary bluesman B.B.King's glittering career has seen him lauded as one of the all-time greats of the genre. This program presents a chance to see King performing live, with footage taken from two nights–one in Memphis, the other in Nashville–of sessions at his own clubs. King performs with a full backing band as he delights his audience with renditions of classic tracks such as "When Love Comes to Town," "The Thrill is Gone," and "Ain't That Just Like a Woman.".
