The Buddha Bar series has become a band name by now, and Buddha Bar, Vol. 4 does nothing to break the new tradition. Compiled by David Visan, the two-CD set is divided into "Dinner" and "Drink." The former is definitely music for the consumption of comestibles, pleasant and polite with exotic touches of world music, like Nitin Sawhney's "Moonrise" or Gotan Project's revolution of the tango with "Una Musical Brutal," but they're the mildest examples of the artists' output, never pushing themselves forward, but providing a backdrop for food and civilized conversation. "Drink" fares a little better, but has traces of anonymity - Time Passing with "Party People," for example, or Chris Spheeris and "Dancing With The Muse" could both come from a modern TV ad - although its less afraid of imposing itself…

Buddha-Bar XXI celebrates Buddha-Bar Paris and features the DJs that made the reputation of the venue, Ravin and Sam Popat - the legendary residents. CD1, "Dinner" has been selected by Ravin, true Master of Lounge music and talent spotter of "World" music since 1996. CD2, "Party" has been mixed by Sam Popat, an emblematic figure of ethnic-electronic music and of thrilling and heady tribal sounds. Buddha-Bar XXI marks a return to the roots and to the unique values that made the venue a mythical place.

After successful compilations and millions of Buddha Bar followers around the world, George V Records wanted to release a special creation as fancy, fashionable and elegant as the Buddha Bar itself, to thank his great fans around the world. The world-renowned ambience was put together in an exclusive 12 hour CD box set - a mix of pure Chill Out & World music, including 90% unreleased tracks. This Box Set CD includes a USB dongle that will open its doors to the mysterious Buddha-Bar universe. After opening the first Buddha-Bar in Prague in 2009, the label decided to go further and take the listener all night of escape and magic within the ambiance of the Buddha-Bar. The beautifully blended tracks, infused with the signature Buddha-Bar, are a musical invitation to experience the quintessential luxury lifestyle with a touch of urban French chic and a hint of oriental influences.
