Opening with the iconic ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ from Elton John and followed by Paul McCartney & Wings’ Bond theme ‘Live And Let Die’, this epic beginning to this journey back to 1973 continues with a run of massive Glam-Rock infused hits from T. Rex, Mud and Alvin Stardust, and #1s from Suzi Quatro, Wizzard, 10cc, ‘Cum On Feel The Noize’ from Slade and Sweet with ‘Blockbuster’.

Now That’s What I Call Music celebrate 1973 with a new Yearbook devoted to those 12 months which includes hits from Elton John, Paul McCartney & Wings, Slade, T. Rex, Faces, Billy Joel, Elvis Presley, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen and more. As usual you can choose from the 4CD deluxe set in book packaging or a standard card sleeve version. Both offer 83 tracks from 1973 and there’s even room for some David Bowie this time, although perhaps not the track you were expecting. A 3LP vinyl edition offers a cut down 47-track selection and is pressed on red vinyl. Full tracklistings for both formats can be found below. Betty’s 1974 album "Danger High Voltage" is considered to be amongst her best. It contains her two UK Top 30 chart hits the Grammy winning Disco hit "Where Is The Love" and "Shoorah! Shoorah!" which featured in the film "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". It also includes the original version of the often sampled "Tonight's The Night" one of her best known tracks, a mid tempo Rare Groove classic, which was apparently inspired by her first sexual experiences. She would re-record the track on the "Betty Wright Live" album, which featured her now famous "Rap". Betty’s diverse range of material is illustrated by the great beat ballad "That's When I’ll Stop Loving You" and the more typically Brassy TK "Don't Thank Me Baby, Thank Yourself". This CD version of the album is enhanced by the inclusion of five non album 45 sides.

Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz called on pianist extraordinaire Vince Guaraldi and his trio to compose and perform music that would reflect the humor, charm, and innocence of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the entire Peanuts gang for their 1965 Christmas TV special. It was a perfect match: Guaraldi strings together elegant, enticing arrangements that reflect the spirit and mood of Schulz's work and introduce contemporary jazz to youngsters with grace, charm, and creativity. "What Child Is This" touches on cool jazz's richly textured percussive nuances, while "The Christmas Song" reflects Christmas' relaxing, mellow moments.
