I set myself the challenge of writing a book of 24 preludes and fugues in all the major and minor keys and I approached family, friends, and several institutions I had been associated with, to commission a prelude and fugue each, with many of the resultant commissioners asking for references to pieces of music that had a special meaning for them, a request that I tried to follow through wherever possible. Within a very short space of time, I realised just what a task I had set myself. The project took me 8 years to complete, and it was not until 2019 that I finally put the finishing touches to the concluding B minor Fugue.

52 chorale preludes, Op. 67, is a collection of 52 settings of popular Protestant hymns for organ by Max Reger, composed between 1900 and 1902. Originally published in three volumes between 1900 and 1903 with the cover title "52 Choralvorspiele für Orgel" (52 chorale preludes for organ), the full title of the collection was "Zweiundfünfzig leicht ausführbare Vorspiele zu den gebräuchlichsten evangelischen Chorälen".

The Dallas Bach Society joined with their director and prominent harpsichordist James Richman provide a masterful debut recording with Onyx Classics, Handel’s ‘Messiah’, a new edition provided by Malcolm Bruno based on the original 1741 score. Handel had composed the work at an astounishing pace, spending less than a month in the summer of 1741. At its premiere in Dublin, over 700 patrons overcrowded the Musick hall, with the ladies had been requested to dress ‘without hoops’ in help make room. The Messiah was an instant hit and is established as Handel’s greatest works.
