Bohren And Der Club

Six long years have passed since Bohren & The Club Of Gore released their last album with "Piano Nights". In 2020 the band finally presents its successor: "Patchouli Blue" is the band's eighth longplayer, the first album without drummer Thorsten Benning, who left the group in 2015. The trio has recorded eleven tracks, a unique mix of dark jazz, doom and ambient, as always instrumental, as always decelerated, another highlight in their discography.

The music that Bohren makes has fallen under the heavy metal/doom rubric, but this is both inaccurate and unfair to the band and its music. While the former members of hardcore legends 7 Inch Boots, Chronical Diarrhoea, and Macabre Farmhouse may have once played fast and heavy, on Sunset Mission they completely drop the metal overtones that appeared on Gore Motel and stand resolutely in the late-night jazz-noir camp…

Solo includes Michael’s first four solo projects, Flammende Herzen, Sterntaler, Katzenmusik and Fernwärme, a Soundtracks and a Remixes & Live album (only with the vinyl boxset). Speaking about the release, Michael said: ‘I’m incredibly excited to announce my new boxset ‘Solo’. The opportunity to release my first four solo albums, as well as some new music in one package is amazing. This is a body of work that I’m very proud of.’
